Awesome to have an off the field and locker room leader in Jamal Adams. Le'Veon Bell would not be here today, if not for Jamal's love for the game ala recruiting ability. He came in as a kid and immediately judged/questioned/called out our loser mentality of a locker room from veterans in which came before him. He wasn't scared just a fearless kid. He's a natural born leader. Has a real love for the game. Recruits like an NFL scout too. And on the football field he's an absolute animal. A nose for the ball that I haven't seen out of a Jet. He's everywhere. Wish I had me 11 #33's on Defense and he's already became without question the face of our defense.
100% absolute naive or made up bullshit. Bell is here because of $13.5 million a year and $25 million guaranteed. If the offer was $8 million a year and $15 million guaranteed no amount of Adams recruiting would have brought him here. Stop being ala a child. It’s like you’re trying to be insufferable.
Jets’ Le’Veon Bell: Jamal Adams’ recruiting pitch ‘made it happen’ He made it happen, so you have to give him a lot of credit,” Bell said. Adams spent much of the offseason publicly wooing Bell on Twitter. But apparently the recruiting pitch went well beyond what everyone else on the Internet could see with their own eyes. "He was on my line constantly, blowing up on me, texting me, tweeting me, Instagram – everything,” Bell said. “He was doing everything he could to get me here and I respect everything from a guy that talented, he’s so young. For him to reach out for me and things like that, it meant everything in the world to me that somebody would want me that much, a team wanting me that much.” Adams first name-checked Bell after the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Patriots. After declaring that the Jets needed to bring in more “big-time players” and “dogs” for the 2019 season and beyond, Adams boldly gave Bell a shoutout, saying he wanted general manager Mike Maccagnan to sign the star running back. From the horses mouth. Jamal is a leader both on and off the field. Gotta love it.
Bell had no other offers. That’s the reason he’s a Jet. The ONLY reason. Not Adams. Not Curtis. Not Sam. Not because he was a fan as a kid. Not because he’s hometown and grew up in NJ (he didn’t, he grew up in Ohio). Not the facility. Not green uniforms. Not NYC. It was because of the money. Stop being a child.
Btw, using bold font does not make an invalid point valid. It just makes you look childish. Like a brat screaming for a snack at Walmart.
Minus the child comments, I’d have to agree. LeVeon did not come here because Jamal tweeted him. To think that would be incredibly naive.
I get what you are saying. To me, saying childish is a bit more insulting to the guy. He is just loving up on Jamal. Children can be naive, but one does not have to be childish to be naive.
All I know is A.) Le'Veon Bell stated himself that Jamal made it happen on a one on one stand point. B.) If he were only in it "for the money" well then he would have stayed in Pittsburgh and C.) Good feeling that Bell is a believer in Sam Darnold as a young but up and coming Franchise QB within the making (would be naive to think otherwise) and D.) He wanted to win (according to Rollo the Jets are now a... PLAYOFF TEAM).
Agreed... Bell himself stated Adam's played a big role in recruiting Bell to the Jets. The money obviously plays a role too. But we dont know who, and how many offers Bell had. There is no proof or confirmed statement in regards to $$, but there is word from Bell himself acknowledging Jamals role in helping recruit Bell to the Jets Long story short thanks Jamal for reaching out to Bell, and Mike Mac for getting the $$ correct.
While I agree with the premise of your statement, I also believe that ignoring other factors in his signing is not accurate. Yes, guys sign for the money, I am a FIRM believer in this, but guys also weigh a lot of different factors when choosing a team. There seems to have been quite a number of other underlying factors that helped lead him to the Jets
And not for nothing, but according to multiple reports, Oakland had an offer on the table, as did San Fran who was willing to give him $38 million fully guaranteed. So to say he had "no other offers" is not true
Oh geez here come the after the fact offers floated by his agent to reporters. From all accounts last Tuesday the Jets were bidding against themselves, no Ravens, no Raiders, no 49ers, no Colts, no other mystery teams. Yeah Jamal Adams made him leave millions on the table. This reminds me of Brandon Marshall saying he came to the Jets it play with Geno Smith. Not the millions and his TV gig 30 minutes across the river in NYC. Lol.
Again, this is false. The Raiders and 9ers were actively involved in trying to sign him. That had been reported for days before he signed with the Jets. Again, you are accurate in saying that Bell signed in large part because of the money, but stating he had ZERO other offers and that Jamal Adams and other factors had NOTHING to do with his decision, is just inaccurate
