The corners market quite often doesnt really come into focus until second wave unless theres an elite talent available which in this pool there is not
Dolphins cut Josh Sitton. He's 32 and coming off a huge injury... would he be an upgrade over Winters?
No they're not screwed. Paradis would of been a decent signing but Morse is way over-priced and not many other options in FA. The draft is the way to go for a good young center. There are about four of them out there - one should still be hanging around at the top pf the third round.
It seems what positions Jets are going to draft is now really coming into focus with who they are and aren’t signing in FA. Right now I’d have to say EDGE, CB, and C are gonna be the top three picks for the Jets in this draft ...
#3 overall is going to be an edge, I could see a trade package with our two 3rd rounders to get into the 2nd and take a center if there's one available on draft day.
Very possible . I also wouldn’t be surprised if another RB was drafted at some point . I have the feeling they don’t have a lot of faith in Cannon.......Crowell and Powell are both gone.
Well we still have McGuire but I would take a versatile back in the 3rd or 4th round. Bell has missed time in the past and you always have to be ready with somebody you can trust at the RB position
and every other team that drafts a center might jettison their existing center. Options will emerge (at least I keep telling myself that)
I wouldn't be surprised if Cannon starts returning kicks and punts if he can manage to catch either without fumbling
I don't think anyone would be surprised by that, the problem is he's really terrible at catching the ball.
Rookie mistakes happen, but if they continue into year 2, those same mistakes get 6th round RBs from Virginia State cut. In other words, whether they were rookie mistakes or not doesn't really matter. If he keeps not catching the ball, he is gonna be out of a job.
I can't see a tradeup. IMO the Jets can't afford to trade up. Mac should have signed Paradis or Morse, or should sign another FA C.
