lmfao I guess Rapaport is talking to Bell's agent, cuz now he's saying that the Jets have the strongest offer but there is an "as yet unnamed team" involved in the "bidding war". So yeah, the Jets are bidding against themselves.
The Jets are bidding against the Ghosts of Jets Past. They have been such a joke the past 7 years, even money and Sam are not bringing players here. Shame.
So, in the last 24 hours we have learned: - The Jets are the hands down favorite to sign Bell - It is between 3-4 teams - It is between the Jets and Ravens - Scratch that, Jets and Raiders - The Jets have almost no chance of signing Bell - Bell is using the Jets for leverage - Bell's favorite team growing up was the Jets - Macc wants to pay him 18-20m - Bell has no market and thus will get 15-16m - Bell is just milking this to promote his album - The Jets were Bell's choice all along - Macc is dumb for trying to overpay out of desperation - Macc is dumb for not paying enough to get Bell here. - The Jets are bidding against themselves - Bell has a huge ego and will not sign out of spite over the deadline Does that sum it all up?
his yac stats do not illustrate that he need five all pro linemen to be successful on first and second down youve made it clear that youre not a fan of colemen and thats fine. but you shouldnt have to make shit up to defend your position for someone that is quick to call out absurd posts, you should understand this
Move on. Build the offensive line. If Mac were any good we can get a good center in the 3d round. And while we're at it lets draft a stud RB this year, or god forbid, next year. Good teams are build from the inside out. this has all the signs of a last-nickel, money-grubbing diva who will show up at camp with no motivation and then start griping it's everyone else's fault
I wish I remembered the names, but this reminds me of that criticism that wide receiver X "only catches touchdowns"
Of course he does..Jets wanted to make an offer but needed to know bell's answer first..at least that's the line on NFL network..believe it or not, your choice.
Hard to believe. Not sure what one thing had to do with the other. Unless, for some reason, they only wanted Paradis if Bell was on the team.
When Freeman was healthy and playing 15 games, which proves my point. He's not a lead guy, he can't be your best RB if you want to have a well-balanced offense.
Not sure, but it's hard to complain considering he ended up with almost 1300 yards, 9 TDs, 85 receptions for 655 yards. I can live with the YAC number if he's playing at an MVP level.
Bell ain't coming here unless Macc just gives him the rest of the cap and we fill the roster out with AAF guys.
