5th round center it is. Though spending $$ on the OL via FA doesn’t guarantee upgrades...Giants are a case study.
FWIW, Paradis was on GMFB this morning and talked about how back home his town of 800 residents engage in porcupine racing. Yes, I said that correctly. Sounds to me he would have not enjoyed NY/NJ all that much.
Not the point. The point is that Barr is a POS. Winfield did the same thing to the Jets back in 2004, and they weren't a joke then.
No, but he should've been in on Paradis given how bad our OL, especially the interior, was last year.
And he was. Until Barr blew the entire plan up in real time and the Jets had to completely re-shuffle. You can't just have him dangling contracts out like that with a blow up against the cap happening in real time.
We signed Mosley, Crowder, and Bellamy. (Osemele was a trade.) Mosley was a major overpay. And Crowder and Bellamy are nothing special.
Wow, I really hope that is just media playing this crap up because that is really sad. How can you feel physically ill after landing such a huge payday? This is wild.
Probably couldn't take the pressure of being a full time edge rusher. I don't care if he didn't sign.
Regardless if this is true or not, it also says he wasn't serious about Paradis enough. One of the easiest jobs was to land Paradis or Morse, and he failed to sign either one.
Any other run stuffers on the market looking for record setting deals ? preferably looking for ones with less then 1.5 sack per season average and liability in the pass game as well?
We landed Mosley, Crowder, Osemele, and re-signed Anderson and Roberts all this week....and FA hasn't even begun. We also had Barr until he got homesick, and have been in very active negotiations with other top FA's. Far from "no one wants to play in NY" nonsense. Only guy we really missed on is Paradis, and I have no idea what went into his decision really.
