If one of Barr or Mosley was going to back out, I'd have preferred it being Mosley. I think Barr would have exploded as a 3-4 OLB in our defense. Oh well. Definitely a **** move by Barr, though.
I'm more willing to outspend Denver for Paradis than I am willing to outbid ourselves for Bell. Get it done Mac!
This angers me to no end: Not necessarily the players specifically, but the fact at the speed in which they've been doing this.
pretty ho-hum list really. I'd be much happier with our scenario if we land Paradis, to go along with KO and Crowder.
Justin Houston would give us a better pass rush than Barr for less of a commitment. I think it's the move to make if we want to really contend for a playoff spot this year. Add Quinnen and our defense is a whole new level in 2019.
if we miss on Bell we better go get Paradis AND Daryl Williams. And pivot to Tevin and Ajayi or Ingram at RB.
Ajayi hates Gase Ingram signing with Ravens (reportedly) Would rather sign TJ Yeldon than overpay for Coleman, but I get that we're probably going to overpay for Coleman.
Does anyone else feel like Bell is not going to sign with the Jets the same day Barr spurned us, and this will become the most Jets offseason ever.
Right but Barr didn't sign anything with the Vikings yet...everyone has to wait until 4pm tomorrow. Most of the players who have agreed to deals are en route to their teams so they can be in person to sign their new deal tomorrow. I know this wasn't your point but I felt like I had to clarify.
I knew that any of these players could back out, just didn't think we would actually see that. It happens so rarely...ugh.
Part of me says that if the Jets don't sign Bell they may be dodging a bullet. It's hard when on one hand you have a game changing RB to complement your young QB, but on the other hand you're overpaying a 27 year old who hasn't played for a year and is in a position that you can get more than competent play from cheaper players.
Sometimes it takes an employee resigning with an offer in hand for the employer to "wake up" to their worth.
