    @NCJetsfan

This is the one I could find, but I know I did something more. I'll try to find it, but this has some value too:

True, but one of the things Mac has done very well is to get players to sign contracts that allow the Jets an out and another is managing the cap. In addition, I would imagine that Winters will be coming off the cap next year. That will save $7.5 million. They could also cut Trumaine Johnson and save $3 million on the cap, but would incur $12 million in dead money. They could also move on from Avery Williamson. They would save $6.5 million on the cap, and only take a $2 million dead money hit. If Osemele can't stay healthy or play at a relatively high level, they could cut him with no dead money and save $11.7 million on the cap. If they cut Crowell this year, they'd save $3 million on the cap with a $2 million dead money hit. If they wait until next year, they'll save $4 million the cap, with only a $1 million dead money hit. Further, Beacham's $8 million will be off the cap. So, I'm not really concerned yet. IMO the only contract that really is hurting the team is Trumaine Johnson's.

So at a minimum, they probably have at least $22 million coming off the cap, and it could be as much as $41.7 million if all the players above are cut.

Thanks. That list was actually better than I thought it would be. I'm not sure that many people think "stud" RBs can be found in the mid-to-late rounds regularly, but we think that solid, dependable starting-quality RBs and reliable rotational RBs can be found there. In addition, at least some RBs can be found there as your list shows.

He hinted yesterday at an Edgar Allen Poe quote. Could be ravens.

I leaned Bears earlier after the Mack restructure. Then I saw that tweet from Akbar just now from the 10th hinting Baltimore. Insiders still saying Jets as favorites.

Hopefully it gets wrapped up today.

Rounds 3-7, these are the RBs still in the league either starting or playing complementary roles:

2013 Draft (out of 19 eligible RBs)

    Chris Thompson
    Latavius Murray
    Rex Burkhead
    Spencer Ware
    Theo Riddick

2014 Draft (out of 17 eligible RBs)
    Jerrick McKinnon
    Devonta Freeman
    James White
    Alfred Blue

2015 Draft (out of 21 eligible RBs)
    Tevin Coleman
    Duke Johnson
    David Johnson
    Buck Allen
    Mike Davis
    Jay Ajayi
    Cameron Artis-Payne

2016 Draft (out of 18 eligible RBs)
    Kenyan Drake
    CJ Prosise
    Kenneth Dixon
    Devontae Booker
    Jordan Howard
    Wendell Smallwood
    Alex Collins

I'll stop there because obviously guys drafted two years ago are still on NFL rosters. So between those four drafts, 75 RBs were drafted between rounds 3-7. Only 23 are even playing regular snaps for NFL teams. That's 30%. Also take into account that about half those guys stink, they just happen to be employed.

The odds of finding a legit NFL rotational RB in rounds 3-7 are heavily against us.

Played for the Raiders twice, but his other tweets hint significantly at the Ravens.

He was also getting defensive when people weren't giving him shine for "breaking" the AB to Oak trade a day or so earlier.

Btw thanks for clearing up few things on signed players and rosters. Looks like we re ok with signed players at the moment.

Broncos meanwhile have restarted talks with Paradis so that isn’t looking good.

Thanks. I have no doubts that the odds may be against us, but each draft is different. I don't recall those drafts being considered that good or that deep at RB. This isn't considered a great draft for RB, but I think it's considered deep. Next year is supposedly a great draft for RBs. THAT is when I want the Jets to get their new starter. I can live with average or slightly above average RB play this season. That's one of the main reasons why I don't want Bell. He'll be done or close to done by the time we're ready to make some noise in the playoffs. If we have Bell, we aren't gonna draft a top RB prospect next year, and who knows what the draft or two after that will look like in terms of RBs. Hopefully, we can add a solid rotational RB in the draft this year and get our starter next year. I don't hold out much hope for McGuire, and practically none for Cannon.

i am fine with either bell or tevin ingram/howard paradis. I think it's going to be one or the other for us.

I also think we are going to be a dark horse for Daryl Williams

I'd love to see Williams signed, but I don't see any way we can afford to sign Daryl Williams, unless he signs for cheap due to his injury. We still need 2 CBs, a backup QB, and NT, S depth, a LT backup.

This is just getting silly at this point haha. Saw someone debunk this by saying it's been green since September.
