When you have a QB on his rookie contract, it's important to go all in while he's making peanuts. This doesn't negate the importance of drafting well to build a sustainable contender.
That’s not great. We weren’t bidding against ourselves because the Ravens were doing their bidding as well but this is just absurd. At least it’s on 26 year old studs though.
Louis Riddick of ESPN is someone I respect. He said on Twitter people are overreacting to the contracts. The cap increases annually and contracts increase anually. It is the nature of the NFL and sports. Not to mention the Jets are playing with a rookie QB contract for 3 more seasons. Gotta take that opportunity by the horns.
lololol I tried but cant really get a good morning nut out these days as my prostate grows in size....gimme til noon and there'll be banana juice everywhere
Exactly. Kwon got paid 13.5 per year, and next year another MLB will eclipse CJ. Everyone just shut up about the "overpaying" for pro bowl talent in the prime of their careers. We're bringing in top tier, high caliber players, oh how will we ever survive!
So assuming the entire Jets D (from Greg Williams on down... the whole package) has a good healthy season and plays more or less up to its potential (solidly within reason I mean) exactly what defenses out there in the NFL are clearly better than ours right now? I mean in theory we're top 10 for sure and perhaps a fair amount higher aren't we? Or am I being too much of a homer who's excited by the splashy FA picks? Because I am currently very excited by these offseason acquisitions. Especially our new guard actually.
I think we are a lock down CB away from a top 5 defense. If Trumaine Johnson can rebound this year...shit will be lit
I am still concerned by the massive holes at corner and nose tackle. Technically we also need to resign Henry Anderson. Though when it comes to linebackers and safeties, its hard to find much better units than ours.
So does Lee now become a rotational player, or gets shown the door? I guess they may wait to make that decision after the draft
Why is everyone so sure Lee is gone/will be traded? Before free agency everyone seemed to think Williams would flip Lee to OLB, why is everyone so sure that won’t happen now? Jordan Jenkins might be the one on the outs. Of course, the draft could change everything, but I think the Jets are likely to trade down.
