If we can get Bell and Paradis today, wow. Frees up tons of options in the draft incase they want to trade back. Getting Josh Allen or Bosa would also be ridiculous.
in his draft they talked he had degenaritve knee problems i assume that was checked out , he is the best linebacker we have had in the last 5 years if he is healthy.
I wonder if this means that Bell and/or Paradis have already turned them down. You would think those two would be a priority over Mosley.
I fully support the moves that have been made so far, but they gotta pass on Bell and maybe even Coleman too. They should shift their focus to adding depth and CB help.
Don't think that's necessarily true. Also, rumors are that the Jets are in the lead for Bell. The 2nd team for Bell apparently hasn't come close to the Jets offer, for what it's worth..
Bradberry is decent, but really lacks power at the point of attack. I'm not sold on him as a quality starter. His hands and technique are good, but he is really not what I want to see in the middle of our line at all.
The goal of this free agency period was to make Sam’s life easier. The trade and Crowder definitely did that, but we lost sight of the goal big time if we don’t sign Bell. And I mean if we choose not to sign Bell, not if he chooses another team. Paradis is too rich for my blood. Centers are not paid $12 mil a year especially coming off a broken leg.
Hes a good prospect but i think people are going alittle crazy bc of his combine.Hes not really a 1st round prospect more round 2.Hard to count on one 2nd round prospect being there for one of the starting 5. Still i just want someone competent for center..no reason to break the bank or alter our entire draft plans.
What cap hell? You realize the salary cap goes up by 10 million every year right? By the time we need to pay anyone in 2-3 years the cap will be $220 million or more. Not worried in the least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This off-season has been miraculous so far. In no way have we lost sign of the goal if we do not sign Bell. If they are able to improve the Center position, there is no reason that the Jets can't win with lesser talent at the RB position.
And this was my credo during the entire Bell discussion. Spend while you can. I just didn’t think we were going to be spending $32 mil on two linebackers. That changes things a bit. I love the signings, don’t get me wrong. But in three years we are gonna have some pretty difficult decisions to make. I’m just going to enjoy it til then.
Having a legit D coordinator in Williams to utilize Barr and Mosely makes this so much better. Trusting the former 'braintrust' with these players would definitely temper my enthusiasm with these signings...
AND Leonard Williams, AND Avery Williamson, AND Jamal Adams, AND Marcus Maye (Stay healthy damn it!), AND Trumaine Johnson (He is going to bounce back)
