I’ll be honest, I wasn’t that excited with the Barr signing. I view his as a Calvin Pace type player in the 3-4. Mosley, on the other hand, is a baller! He is a huge upgrade over Lee. I like Darron Lee, but he has obviously made the front office frustrated with underperformance, getting suspended and lack of maturity.
I want to be super excited, but Paradis was my most coveted FA and with Morse already signing with the Bills I feel like we don't even have a fall back at center. We've done great with the rest of the roster so far. I jsut really wanted the line fixed in FA. Maybe its just Mac hangover syndrome, but I'm still not sold.
Calvin Pace??? Huh??? Barr played a 3-4 LB in college and was extremely successful there. He was a really good pass rusher in college. Vikings didnt use him that way.
I'm not too excited about this move to be honest. I think mostly has been falling off in recent years. Would have much rather had Kwon Alexander so we'd have a middle linebacker for a 4-3
ok good i need some hope. We have made a ton of good moves so far. I just don't see a starting caliber center in the draft so I want in fix before hand.
You have that exactly backwards. Kwon has been ok since his great rookie season, but is also among the leaders in missed tackles every year. CJ is much better.
Wisniewski isn't on the level of Paradis. I like Mosley, but he's definitely a two down LB. I love the Barr signing, but I think this contract is a bit too rich for Mosley. Would preferred signing Bell/Paradis instead. I hope this means signing Paradis is still in play. If it means passing on Bell, so be it. Draft a RB in the 3rd round.
Mosley is great and this pairing with Barr is absurd, but my god that’s a lot of money. Too rich for my blood. We better do a lot of winning in the next three years because we are going to be in cap he’ll shortly. At least we are spending it on legit talent though. Now go get Bell.
