Big time yikes, they gotta get Paradis. It's inexcusable to have had the league's worst center play for 2-3 years and to not land the top center after back to back seasons in FA.
Not shocked. I am sure the Jets balked at that Morse contract. Paradis is good, but he ain’t $12mil+ a year good.
I'd laugh my ass off if he wound up signing with the Jets because no one else wanted him and he had to take a lot less than he would have received by staying with the Steelers.
He's considered the top C in FA and one of the 3-5 centers in the NFL. If he isn't worth it at C, who is?
He is probably the player/position I know the least about in this free agency class. All I know is that he broke his leg last year and was a pretty good C before that.
Admittedly, I didn’t research him very much. I genuinely was asking. I knew he was pretty good, but didn’t know he was top5 at his position in the league.
If Morse got 11 mil, Paradis is most definitely worth around that. Offer him a 4-5 year deal worth like 11.5 mil and that should get it done.
They might have. He is talking with Denver so whatever he was being offered, I’m sure he is seeing if Denver can match or better.
Another interesting scenario if they miss out on Mosley: Sign Paradis Sign Bell Draft MLB Devin White out of LSU
After Josh Allen, White may be my favorite prospect. We could probably drop back a few spots and still land him also.
If the Jets are leading by a wide margin like Connor suggested in another tweet, I can’t see how Bell doesn’t take the offer. He has made it clear he wants to get paid.
If we're the only ones truly in on him then we had to get him at a reasonable price and not something absurd like 16-17M a year.
There are apparently other teams involved, but the rumor is that the 2nd highest bidder isn’t very close to Jets offer.
