This would be awesome!!! Add Paradis, Darqueeze Dennard or Bryce Callahan at slot CB, and Ronald Darby at CB #2 and it's perfection whether we get one of Bell, Coleman, Ingram or not.
I think Paradis is MUCH more important than Moseley, Bell or Coleman. As I said in an earlier post, they probably won't get Bradberry if he goes where I'm seeing him projected, and there are no guarantees he'd be ready to start day one.
If he got 11 then the market is set. Why on earth would the Jets bid against themselves by going up to $16 million?
No one's saying that you want him injured, but there are no guarantees that we'd get any one of the 3 good Cs in this draft, and even if we got one, that he'd be ready to play day one or be any better than Harrison. IMO protecting Sam is the most important thing this offseason. Period. Having a top 10 D isn't even close imo. It's fun to think about, but if push comes to shove, I'm taking Paradis over Bell or Moseley every single time.
He was a pass rusher in college and can be in the NFL but he hasn't done it full time because of scheme in Minnesota, over the last two seasons he's rushed the passer about 10% of the time and only lined up on or outside the OT about 90 times in 2018. We'll see how it goes, Barr is a helluva player and I'm pumped that we got him.
Unless Williams plays a lot of zone D, Verrett isn't a fit, and he has a horrible injury history. Heo only played in 6 games his rookie season in 2014. In 2015 he started 13 out of 14 games. In 2016 he played in 4 games. In 2017 he played in 1 game. He missed the entire season in 2018. That makes 5 games in 3 years that he's played. There's no way the Jets can afford to risk signing him.
I don't care if they have to pay $17 or $18 million. I'd rather get him for less, but I want him signed more than anyone else at this point. I think he's that important, and I love both Bradberry and Jenkins in the draft, but it's too risky to wait and hope we get one of them. Even if one or both are there when we pick, it doesn't mean that Mac would one of them. If we sign Paradis, we know we have the C position fixed.
I know that. That's why I've said a couple of times in a two threads that I felt he was wasted in Minnesota's 4-3. That's why I'm confident he will be a very good pass rusher for us.
That's cool. I can understand your desire for Moseley, and it would be great to sign him. I hope we do, but not at the cost of Paradis. If we can get Moseley and Paradis, that's awesome, but I think the Jets may wind up with Bell, and his cost would preclude their also paying both Moseley and Paradis.
Agree. Paradis is the most important piece at this point. Protecting Sam, cementing that Oline is more important than any playmaker you can give him. Even Bell. Sam will make playmakers but only if he has time and protection. I’d overpay for Paradis now.
Paradis might not be worth $14-$16 million, but it isn't my money, so I'm not gonna worry about. That's Mac's problem to deal with the Johnsons. I don't think many players are worth that kind of money, but a lot of them wind up getting it. Paradis might as well be one of them.
I guess my argument is that Paradis has never really proven to be that good. Or am I wrong on this? With Mosley, I don’t question it. I know he would be well worth the money.
