After giving Trent Brown that contract, I don't think the Raiders are in the Bell sweepstakes. Looks to come down to us vs Bears.

    Bringing in Coleman instead?
    Everyone know that's dumb.
    Let's be smart for once.
Lock him up, get it done!

IMO getting Coleman at anything around $10 million/year is a lot less value than Bell at $15 mil. Coleman is so overrated and couldn’t take the job last year in Atlanta.

I can't say how much I don't want this guy . . . except that I've only said it in ten different ways in ten different threads and once in this one several pages back. So now I'm two for two in here. I don't care who gets him, DO NOT WANT, and I'm sticking by it.

Couldn't agree more. I thought he would burst out, but he was just decent.

Hypothetically, if we signed Bell to a 4 year deal, the last year of that deal he would be playing at 30 years old. RB can be very good still at 30. C-Mart was older than that when he won the rushing title.

    Get it done.

Remember the last time a team won the Superbowl, and the fans said in rejoice, "Thank god we saved all that cap room!" ??

    Yeah me either.

Everyone who says they don't want Bell
Like always, you'll claim to be "done"
Lamenting, somehow, a signing so swell

The point is that the Jets are not on the cusp of winning it all. If that were the case as I've said many times, I'd make an exception. He's not the final missing piece and his attitude is for shit. Now that the Antonio Brown saga is over, let's just hope Bell winds up in a place called Taco eating himself to death while he becomes someone else's overpaid problem.

I still haven't voted on the poll because I keep going back and forth whether signing Bell will be worth it. But I think Bell is more valuable to us than he is to other teams, which means we may be able to get him without egregiously overpaying. So I'm going to vote the third option, where the price is what Bell is projected to get and not some ridiculous figure that comes out of a bidding war.
