Some folks just can’t admit when they’re blatantly wrong and move on. Hell, all of us have been wrong multiple times. But you just tuck your tail and move on. Or you quit the board for 3 months and come back and triple down. Then question why folks want to “harp on nonsense”. Ironic.
i said he's performed better then i expected but it's also 12 games i'm not going to anoint any player a great player after 12 games. I also said rosen has performed worse then i expected. with all the people giving me shit over baker doing better then I expected (which i fully admit), you don't see me going back and pointing out that they were all wrong on jackson. a guy who came in midseason on a 4-5 team and went 6-1 to bring them to the playoffs not to mention the extra 5 picks or so (at least 4 2nd rounders if not 5) we would have had by taking jackson instead. That reason being is whats done is done and my only concern is how darnold does. I don't care about the other QBs not on the jets Umm PFF does exactly that when rating players FYI hence the "adjusted QBR and their grading system" and i openly admitted baker did better then I expected so whats your point? yeah rosen looked much worse then i expected him to, but again to be fair when you have the worst o-line in the NFL (hell DJ is a top 3 RB and couldn't do shit for the offense) no run game, no WRs to throw to, you are going to look bad. I absolutely would be as nit picky with darnold. and notice how brady hasn't done as well as that season in 10 years because he hasn't had a WR like moss since then? the talent around a QB helps out a lot for sure. and vice versa. look at rivers and the chargers. how many WRs do we see blow it up for them, leave via FA and then fail. it's because rivers is out there making them all look good. he's a QB who has done a lot with very little help. compared to say ben who has had top o-lines, top run games, and top WRs most of his career.
We need to do something at corner. Ideally I'd like to trade down for more picks, and take Greedy Williams, but I doubt that happens.
we could land darby. it really makes sense to land him or keep claiborne. we have a lot fo holes to fill. even with sliding down and taking an OT in round 1 or an edge rusher, round 2 should go to WR and round 3 should go to o-line. no room to really take a CB in the 1st 3 rounds of the draft and the chances of finding an instant starter at CB in round 4 or later is pretty slim
