He traded back basically two rounds, 59 spots to trade for a guy who was going to be released on Monday. What a joke it was keeping this loser.
If he were released can you guarantee that the jets would have been able to sign him? Can you guarantee that the raiders wouldn’t have traded him to another team prior to being released? Pretty ignorant post.
When healthy he’s a mauler. All pro level talent when he’s right for a 5th and with no true guaranteed $ left on the contract? Can’t complain, good move.
Key is that it's only a two year deal with no guaranteed money left. Any other guard they sign is going to be looking for a deal much more than 2/22 with no guarantees.
He had issues last year but he's still a proven commodity that other teams undoubtedly would've been interested in. It's not the safest move to make, but there's a way better chance he contributes as a decent starter this year compared to a hypothetical mid-round pick.
You have to strike while the iron is hot. He fills a huge need and if he's at 60% capacity he is much better than any offensive lineman we currently have on the roster. If he would have hit the streets the Jets would have had competition for his services. We all know they are not everyone's first choice.
It’s the first move before we bash it let’s see how it all plays out. I don’t think it’s that bad. No guaranteed money. We can cut him tomorrow and gain back the 10 or 11 million. If we signed him it would’ve been more. Can’t say I love dropping 60 spots but in the fifth are we getting a two time all pro. You could. Could be a hall of famer but we got a known commodity. When healthy a solid offensive lineman. Exactly what we need. Let’s see how this plays out but not a bad first step.
this is such a fuckin stupid comment. So I guess 31 GMs thinks Antonia Brown sucks? Youre a typical retarded Bills fan.
no you didnt. You looked up today where he went to college and posted this nonsense....hahahh come on dude
I'm sure I did. I follow the draft pretty closely. The question is did you know who he was before today?
First, this thread is ass. Second, Mac did the trade because if Osmele were released, another team may have signed him. And third:
