Great low risk move. Moved back 57 spots in the draft and picked up a starting guard.

This team could look completely different next week!

Good trade Osemele plays with a mean streak

 

Same amount as you being here to piss all over a move that doesnt concern your team that cant make trades bc no one wants to play there.

 

When he is healthy he can play. Had a down year last year but prior to that he is a stud. Mac tried to get him when he left balti2 years ago but he took the raiders money instead.

This is a good trade, he has no guarantee money left and we gave up peanuts

Hes been a very solid guard his whole career. Stout,good balance & violent hands.More of a grabber than a puncher.

Hes a guy who above all else willl give Sam a clean pocket

Struggled w health last year & perhaps just wasnt a fit in Gruden’s O. As for the contract top guards are always vastly inflated. See: Alan Faneca.

Youd like to see a few more impact blocks from him on the second level w such a price tag but his skills are more in the phone booth.

 

I sure hope so Fjay because as I said I heard of him but know little about him. If you go read what the Raider fans are saying about him it is NOT FLATTERING and many are happy with this move. I just do not trust Mac and to be honest I will take your word over his

 

While I don't like trading picks for players, especially older players, I can live with this trade. Osemele is a very good guard and I don't think Saffold would ever have signed with the Jets. A fifth round pick for player like Osemele is pretty darned good, but to get a 6th round pick back (especially since we didn't have one) is pretty darned good imo.

If the rankings are accurate, I think the Jets will have a chance to draft Foster Moreau, TE in the 6th round. He is a very good blocker and good receiver. He will help our TE corps.

There's no guarantee that Oakland wouldn't have found another trade partner as lots of teams need OL help, nor is there any guarantee that Oakland would have just cut him if they couldn't find a trade partner.

 

This is a great move. I'm impressed.

Raiders moved him because of his contract and scheme fit. We got him for peanuts.

What's not to like about this trade in all honesty?

I'm skeptical AF about the GM and coaching staff at this point, but this is a good start.

 

Osemele was an All Pro in 2016. I supposed everyone makes All Pro as well. ROFLOL

 

These kind of moves is where I trust mac more than any other time. He’s actually not bad at flipping picks for productive pros. Come day 2 of the draft though...... nail biting stuff
