Great fit personnel wise. Contract is pretty awful though and we’re giving up a pick. All in all, one less hole to fill. Building up that line for Sam and Leveon!

Beat me to it. Do we know what his current contract situation is? Any clue what we are giving up?

Wow if healthy this is an upgrade. Curious to see what the Jets gave up.

12 million/year isn’t awful if he is a pro bowl caliber player

When healthy. That’s the problem. And he’s 30. I still like the trade assuming we didn’t overpay but it’s not a homerun.

Got a feeling this is a 6th or 7th rounder. No biggie. Excellent replacement for Carpenter.

With that contract it's likely a late round pick.

I wonder if we are trading extending to lower the cap number this year. Even if not, when healthy, he’s absolutely worth it.

He has health issues and a shitty contract, but the Jets can afford it. I like the trade for the Jets. If he sucks it’s done in two years. Jets don’t need the space until then anyway. Good move

Since he's got no guaranteed money, think he'll redo his contract to a more friendly number if he can secure some guaranteed upfront. Would like to see the Jets sign him for 3 years, $24M with $12M guaranteed, with incentives to make it up to $30M.

    Giving up a 5th and getting back a 6th.

That is just fine by me - moving down 30 picks and getting a proven starter.

If True, this sounds like a great start to FA. The guard market was weak after Safford and this gives us a good guard who could return to a pro bowl level. Let's get Paradis signed and things will be looking quite good.

Love it, make sure you get your guy to protect our QB. Great start to FA.
