I would sign Amendola only under the condition he doesn't play any regular season games and if the Jets make the playoffs, he gets activated.

Once Tanehill gets cut I'd LOVE to see the Jets sign him.

He may be looked at as too threatening to Darnold which is why I doubt it'll happen.

But he knows the system knows Gase, is fully capable of stepping in if he has to. If the Jets could get a QB of his caliber/experience to backup Darnold it would be incredible.

Tannehill stinks and he’d be way to expensive for a backup. And in no way shape or form would he be viewed as a threat to Darnold. McCown coming back is the better option in almost every way.

    In relevant news:

We need to prepare for a full strike out. It’s not out of the question.

Perhaps with those guys. If they end up with Bell and two new starting olineman it would be a good day. They can always get Bosa or Josh Allen at #3.

I meant strikeout on the defensive FAs, sorry.

Too threatening to Darnold ??? You’re kidding right? Tannehill is not even in the same league .....I wouldn’t mind him as a back up but as Broadway Sam says too expensive on his current contract .

Oh Jets fans are fully conditioned and prepared to strike out! :D I think the Jets will do well in Free Agency though, as money talks.

I think we will be OK too, it’s just not going to be everybody’s “A” scenario and considering how out of touch most of this fan base is with reality, everyone is going to be upset because it didn’t work out absolutely perfect.

Money does talk. We also have to hope that this turns into a Chicago scenario. Trubisky played decently down the stretch, and even decent is an overstatement, and all of a sudden that team became a destinations for free agents. Sam played at a way higher level and has way more promise down the line then Trubisky ever did so he might be one of our best recruiting tools.

You would age at an alarming rate if the Jets signed Barr and drafted Allen?

I don't get why the Lions are considered the favorite to sign Barr. That makes zero sense to me. They're not a good team, and he'd still be playing in a 4-3 alignment, wouldn't he? It seems to me that he would welcome signing with a team that plays the 3-4 so he could return to rushing the passer more often when that is what he does best and would get him paid the most.

According to multiple sources, Kevin Johnson is making a FA visit to the Jets today.

I agree. All the guys we want I fear they won’t sign w us. Also everyone can’t sign w us. We need a combo of three of these for it to be a success.

    1. Bell
    2. If not bell Coleman.
    3. Paradis
    4. If not paradis then Morse.
    5. Saffold if not a guard
    6. Flowers
    7. Fowler
    8. Barr

To me securing the oline is the most important. Have to get one linemen and at least one of the defenders mentioned even if there are blemishes on them. Anything and everything else is gravy

Saw that yesterday. Prove it type contract it’ll be a good signing. Had a concussion last year and missed it. That’s scary but worth a look

It is scary, especially with the Jets' bad luck and/or history of drafting players with injury histories or no injury history, and signing FAs with injury histories. So far, I think Beacham is the only one who has truly worked out. Maybe Enunwa, but I don't remember if he had an injury history in college.

Still, I'm glad they're bringing him in for a work out and talk. The Jets are due for a player like this to pan out. It would be awesome to have one CB spot settled immediately and to get a good young CB.
