IF you watched him play you would realize that PFF's stats there are junk. Williams doesn't get pressure. ESPECIALLY not "consistently." He doesn't push the pocket either. Watch the games people

So pressure doesn’t impact QB play, only sacks.

    Got it.

And that first PFF article wasn’t about Williams, it was about pressure v sacks.

    Read the article people.

If you want to really see Leonard Williams impact, watch the Packers game before he got ejected and after

I did not say pressure doesn't impact QB play. I said that Leonard Williams doesn't get pressure. How PFF feels about pressure vs. sacks is meaningless because Williams doesnt get either!

Well Williams was ejected in the 2nd quarter, late. At the time of his ejection, Aaron Rodgers was 11-14 148 yards 1TD, 0 INT. Williams sacked him once though.

Ehhh... I mean, ehhh. It was Williams' best half of the season for the 4-11 New York Jets, but its not like Rodgers had it too difficult back there either half

    2 separate articles.

I didn’t post the PFF article in defense or indictment of Williams. Just explaining to our resident troll how pressure (and not simply sacks) negatively impacts QB play.

The other article lists QB hits in 2017. If you have a problem with the author of the article’s editorial comment, take it up with him.

We had a few sacks on him in the first half. Him and Anderson had a sack, when Leo got ejected, there was 0 pressure the rest of the game and Rodgers really tore us up

2 sacks before Williams got ejected. 2 sacks after he got ejected. Rodgers had it pretty easy all game though

This is what I mean by pressures vs sacks. There was a notable difference after LW left, and it appears this article goes into it more.

Jets defense was getting killed that 2nd half.

Nah, the Jets are a bunch of choke artists. We've seen that story time and time again with Bowles.

    One game.

If he played that way all the time I'd be very happy with him.

They can say whatever they want but it doesn't make it true.

I watch the games and there's no way he puts that much heat on opposing QBs on a consistant basis.

He was very active in the Packers game before he got ejected. That type of play is easily noticeable if he played that way most of the time I wouldn't have any complaints with his play.

    I call hornet.

So are you intentionally refusing to believe the statistical fact that Williams had the most QB hits in 2017?

Or are you intentionally refusing to believe that QB hits impact QB play?

Or are you just so ingrained in your hate for a current Jet player that you'll ignore all statistical evidence and the concept of what it does?

    Quarterback hits.

The stat that shows how many times he was late for a sack.

Would you rather a QB running out of bounds 3 inches shy of the LOS for a "sack" or a QB hit that results in a hurried or wobbly pass that get's picked off?

    Hmmmm.
