Toronto could use a guy like Clutterbuck. Not sure why Shanny didn't make a push for a tough winger like him.

What would you give in return? Islanders need a top line center or winger that can score 35 goals and have about 45-50 assist.

Not that, lol. I guess that's why trades are so difficult to make in this day and age. Tough to find a good fit that will
    help both teams.

I would have settled for a legit 2nd line center and any body that is not afraid to shoot the puck on the power play , maybe that person has a pulse and they could contribute or score a goal or a point on a regular basis ? You already know how I feel about this , Now we can focus on the Senators a team that IMO we should spank twice and dominate and get 4 points from instead we have to wonder will our guys score enough and even win ? I hope Trottz gets them refocused = What a difference a month makes.

We can disagree on the trade deadline strategy, but the one thing we can probably agree on is we should hope to land in whatever playoff spot nets us the matchup with the Blue Jackets.

Isles clearly need to sweep the Senators - anything less than that to me puts their playoff chances in real jeopardy, not just because of the short-term points, but because of what it would say about them being a legitimate playoff contender.

Really pathetic third period for the Islanders, and now Lehner is run over and is out of the game. Clear goalie interference is called on the ice, but they overturn it and the game is now tied. What a joke.

The refs did not screw us,,,Nelson clearly pushed him into Lehner-----we are in this position going to OT because we can't beat a shit team and our power play is pathetic

We get the points but nothing to feel good about.

Terrible reversal of the call, but that’s still the Isles fault for making it a meaningful play by letting them back in the game ahead of it.

I never thought that this team was as good as it played 2 months ago but I can't wrap my head around how bad they look right now ? I get that goals will be tough to come by as they just DO NOT score many goals because the talent IMO is sooooooo limited on offense but the defense has taken 3 steps backwards and has been awful. Every team goes thru slumps but I keep waiting for them and Trottz to turn this around = they are running out of time.
