Anything beyond some logo and color tweaks, and other minor changes, would be stupid imo.. We don't need some Nike reboot, as that never turns out well.
Personally, I like their logo/unis the way they are but I dont see the point of a few minor tweaks. If they really want to change things, then change things. Go Big or Go Home.... and it doesnt have to (nor should it) be a Nike reboot..... It's a billion dollar business, hand that job to a top notch advertising agency. Nike doesnt even do most of their own stuff
not saying you are wrong Toronto_Jet and thank you for posting that. I just find it quite a surprise that every currently signed player has tried on the new uniform and it hasn't been leaked yet. In today's cell phone camera/twitter world that is a tall order
the helmets gotta be green right? In today's little teaser video from the ever-annoying NY Jets social media team, they were unloading the helmets at the factory and preparing them to be painted. If they were still gonna be white I don't think that video would be posted. (then again, like I said, the social media team is annoying. I guess they could just be doing that for dramatic effect)
I disagree... if all it took was a NDA then the owners would include one in Every players contract regarding any & everything they can come up with... AGAIN... This statement IS FALSE & was put out there just to get a reaction.
In that scenario the content and wording of teh NDA would be negotiated and stall the process worse than money, years etc. But in a situation where a team contracts someone to create branding, I would almost guarantee there is an NDA in place.
Go to my original post. I clarified this was from a post claiming to all be from ESPN stories. I have not had time to hunt the individual stories. No matter, at least some players have tried on the new uniforms and whoever is designing and manufacturing them. It is too late in the game to believe only a small handful of people have viewed whats coming. Also, the owners could have just asked the players to hand over their phones for the 15 minutes it took them to try them on. Either way we are probably just over a month away from the reveal.
Depends on what the helmet logo will be. If it's the one I posted a few days ago I really don't see they working on a green helmet, but who knows. I did love our old green helmets so I wouldn't mind going back to it. But if it is a round updated NY Jets helmet logo...that is probably going on a white helmet
The impression I got from that video of the helmets being hauled away was that the logo was going to be done over not so much they were going to be completely painted over ..... We’re just about six weeks away from finding out it sounds like ....
Well I would have no reason not to believe these statements although maybe not every player trying them on . I did see little blurbs somewhere in these forums and various other sites that green will stay but with a lighter tone. That would be fine by me .......current color is very drab ...
Turns out Bob Kraft's hookers are really good seamstresses (and great at laundry), since they needed a new job, they're currently sewing up the new prototypes in my garage.... I think you'll like them, but sorry, everyone had to sign NDAs (and I think twitter is stupid anyway). Don't worry, April is just around the corner. In the meantime, maybe 50 more pages.....
Basically what we have now, lighter green and green helmets plus the old logo. None of which coincides with what the reports say our uniforms will look like
