I'd have to agree. This guy wouldn't even start so why are we even talking about him so much? He would/could be a depth signing...that's it. We are acting as if this move has already happened lol
Think Tate and Williams will go for 10M? could be right, the going salaries have grown quickly. That might make me pause, but I really think Tate could help Darnold for a couple years. Guy has a way of getting open and making plays.
Quincy Enunwa just signed an extension making $9 mill annually on average Enunwa, 26 years old. Moncrief, 26 years old. Both drafted in 2014. Enunwa 5 career touchdowns. Moncrief 21 career touchdowns. Moncrief is a jag though that doesn’t deserve half Enunwa’s salary. Learn something new everyday on this site
For whatever its worth, PFF has him rated as a middle of the road WR compared to the rest of the NFL. Certainly not trash. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/donte-moncrief/8725
I agree with your overall point, but I'd take Enunwa over Moncrief 8 days a week. Career TDs doesn't tell us much, especially with the amount of time Enunwa has missed.
I think Humphries, Tate, Williams will all sign in the $10 mil a year vicinity with each contract commanding different guaranteed amounts and years. I gladly spend that kind of money on Tate. He'd be extremely valuable to Sam's development. If only the world were as simple as you operate. Enunwa has played in 40 games to Moncrief's 70. And also if we're going to play the QB game, he played two years with Fitz and one with a rookie. The one good year Fitz had, Enunwa was third fiddle to two 1000 yard receivers. Most people can see the difference between the two. Most...
Not a free agent, but if you can get him for a bargain then he's certainly worth a look: Makes under $3 mil the next two years, blazing speed, could easily be the Albert Wilson of this Gase offense.
We don't agree much at all, but this one I couldn't agree more. The Bengals are going to give him away for peanuts. I think with good coaching, he could be a GREAT returner. Andre Roberts was great, but he is 31. I say trade for Ross.
the saints 3rd for him. A little skeptical as to why they are trading him. Didn’t he have some injury concerns coming into the draft?
I was gonna say more like a 4th or 5th honestly, but I think taking a shot on Ross with the Saints 3rd would be a pretty solid move still. He had two pretty major injuries in college, you're right. I still would do it. The speed and skill is still there. Yea like I said earlier, I think most people see the differences between Quincy and Moncrief...
Ross was over drafted by at least 10 spots bc folks fell in love w his 40 time. Still hes a good slasher type receiver who can get deep in a hurrry & has some ability to run pivot routes better than say RA. I asked my Bengal fan friend about him & he never thought he got much of a shot w Cincy Is it Health or is it not being able to beat press coverage or separate? Hard to know
I’d add him but still look at the top free agents. The saints third is my go to trade chip. Not reallly looking to spend more than that for anyone that seems to be available right now
Over drafted for sure. No doubt. My guess would be Injuries. It should have been a bad sign that the guy hurt himself running his Indy combine record setting 40 time.
Antonio Brown for a 3rd and possibly more? For a top 5 WR? You pull the plug and do it. Le'Veon Bell to a big time contact? As one of the NFL's top 5 offensive weapons amongst all NFL skilled position players? No brainier. And if we're able to land an offseason edge rusher or two? Then might as well draft the Nation's #1 offensive line prospect come the 1st round. Fk my username. I'm tired of building dreams around our defense. We're now in position to strike while improving an offensive attack over night. It's all about Sam Darnold. He's our Franchise QB we've dreamed of. He's our future as well as our present. Give Sam Darnold the weapons needed in order to engineer an explosive offense in which our fan base has yet to witness. Make it happen. I'll change my user name to OffenseWinsChampionships. In 3-5 years Darnold will develop into his own leader, but right now he needs help.
