I make a motion that this thread be closed after all the botched forecasts this year. All kidding aside, what are we looking at for Wednesday? Weather.com was initially saying 3-5" for NNJ a few days ago but I just checked and now says <1". Is this another "storm" that is trending down to virtually nothing?
Harris the pattern and set up has been a train wreck all season so the guidance at least to me has been little help because I still do not understand much of the science but I try, lol. As far as all the forecasts and apps and what they are all saying right now = throw them out the window or in the trash can. Maybe FJAY or someone else can chime in but IMO as far as this storm the latest guidance AS IT ALWAYS Does is coming more North each run and the precipitation appears to be getting in more quickly so if we have cold air in place ( which we do ) and the moisture gets in more quickly ( which CBG hopes and what the Nam and other models are showing right now ) we will get snow edit here or worse ICE-----> stay tuned as even though I have typed this and we have heard this all before = this one is not dead its still alive and kicking.
Just checked for my area Fair Lawn NJ (Bergen County) and they say around an inch or so tomorrow/tomorrow night. The good news is Thursday temps will hit a high of 54 and on Friday 46. The snow won't be around long if they are correct with the forecast.
Yep Greg Thursday is Tee Shirts and shorts and this = whatever falls will be gone but this is not a done deal yet as its still developing , as I said if it shifts slightly North n edit here = EAST EAST EAST many more people would be in the game. I really stopped looking past like 5 days. I can’t handle the disappointment when they fizzle out . Still hoping for a 12”+ powdery thump.
