Not that we didn't know there would be one already... but the hunt for a new center is officially on.

I don't disagree with this either. He played well at LG and would probably benefit from a better supporting cast too, which you'd assume he'd have.

Not opposed to him at LG. Definitely need him replaced at C tho.

Well his ineptitude was on full display in the Miami game so.........

That being said as I've stated many times the man was a guard originally. And not a bad one. I wouldn't mind them plugging him in at LG but I think eventually they're going another route.

You mean the coaching staff's ineptitude. Why he was taking snaps while being injured is one of the dumbest decisions our previous CS made.

I'd try to get Saffold or Glowinski before bringing back Long.

Yeah that too. But Long is still a better guard than center. The Jets need to either find a way to sign Morse away from KC or draft a center. Plenty of good ones will be available around the third/fourth round......

Agreed, Matt Paradis from the Broncos is my go to C this off-season. He has experience working with Gase. If the Jets strike out with Paradis, Morse would be next up.

Missed opportunity. Thread title should have been “So Long!”

I like the idea of resigning him at a lower rate and plugging him in at LG. He was perfectly adequate there. Can’t have 5 new starters on the line.

Then we wouldn't know if it's news or one of those locker room videos where they don't realize someone is ass naked in the background.

That is true. I'm really interested in seeing how they rebuild the line this FA/draft.....

Such a big offseason addition disappointment he was.

Many of us considered him as one of our top 3-5 offseason upgrades and was hard to believe he could be even as close to being as bad as Wesley Johnson was the year before; but at times he was.

Kevin Mawae was fun with #28.

Nick Mangold was God sent asap.

    But this is becoming frustrating.....

So Long: Spencer's time with Jets Short. Something like that.

John Schmidt-little break-Joe Fields-Jim Sweeney-little break-Kevin Mawae-Nick Mangold....the Jets historically have always had great centers sans 4 or 5 years total since Schmidt. They'll get back in the groove this season.......

If somebody didn’t bring this up, I was going to. I just couldn’t believe such a simple adjustment like that wasn’t made. Pretty unbelievable.
