Just remember that the deep ball is not everything. Jeff Blake threw the deep ball as well as anyone in the history of pro football. I think Brad Smith could play QB in an NFL game in a pinch. I just don't feel he would have sustained success.
If we're putting Smith on the same level as Whitehurst, then that's pretty much saying the same thing about him never being able to play QB in the NFL. If Whitehurst had Smith's athletic ability, I'm sure he would be a WR, as well.
im saying as a pocket passer hes better than whitehurst when not even factoring in the defense has to stop him from rushing
Ehh, at least he likes Brad Smith. I don't particularly agree with his opinion of Smith, but he's entitled to it.
So this was the thread that you wanted to make? Thats why you trashed the season tickets waitlist thread?? ... This wasnt worth all the work you have to do just to start this thread.
Funny how that once you were able to post threads of your own, you were then banned. I bet you almost tasted victory, being so close......
Pundits Its clear after years of watching QB draft hits and misses(AhhhhBrowning Nagle) that the "pundits" are basically fulls crap. How these kids adjust to the realities of our NFL is often night and day from player to player...I dont need to name names of the high-laude future losers...the list is long...it is about talant and smarts...and the right coaches and player assisting...many facets...ast to Clemmons....Don't KNOW!!! and noone does...I do surmise that Mangini thinks he is worth keeping if he "competes" in camp next year...I'd like to see him play....but not until a smart upper level(not top)QB like Pennington is taken out of his role by injury or burnout.
