You're not alone, i liked the titans throwbacks too! I really don't want a departure from green and white as mentioned by some in this thread, but a return to the titans color scheme would be a small consolation. Either way i am actually kind of excited to see what they come up with. I've always liked the current threads and logo, I actually don't even mind the green pants *ducks incoming rotten tomatoes* but I don't have any sentiment linked to winning seasons or even a strong team identity (save for Rex's defense the first few years) so I do welcome the idea of a fresh start.

This would be awesome as it's genuinely fun to discuss, read and speculate in this thread. But I could see why they wouldn't want to compete with the super bowl hoopla. We as a fan base are keeping tabs on the re-work but I'm sure fans of most other teams have no clue it's even happening, and it might go largely unnoticed by anyone other than Jets fans. That said, fingers crossed I'll be buying a new hat next week!

To be honest, although I would really love to see the old bright green brought back (that's the colour the Jets wore when I first started following them) and I have a nostalgiac craving for the 80s style unis, I would be open to a more radical change. I won't automatically hate it if they go with something drastically different, even a different colour scheme, as long as it's well done (that's always going to be a matter of opinion, of course). So I'm with you in feeling excited. Let's see what we get!

This is my main concern! Every team has it's history, and I do hope they honor ours in a way that a majority of the fan base can get behind. But in the end, I just hope they avoid things like the forrest green/olive green jerseys, and won't get us on NFL Network's "top 10 worst uniforms".

I’ve seen the new logo and jerseys. Looks nothing like what anyone on social or here has speculated.

Yep. Pretty sure it was Eric Smith who laid him out. Happened in the end zone I was sitting in. The sound of the impact was nuts.

That stadium was a morgue. The Mets completed a historic collapse just minutes earlier and everybody was in stunned silence

It WILL be TOTALLY Different according to those in charge... which I personally prefer... I don't see Anything special about our current or 80's uniform... Do away with them Altogether & start anew... even the green & white can go.

What? and do away with the legacy that is the New York Jets? Abandon the historic uniforms and all the memories of SB's past? Surely we must keep the memory of back to back AFCCG losses fresh in our minds not to mention the butt fumble and the Mudbowl. Doesn't the past mean anything to you?

Totally new unis would signify change and if there's one thing Jet fans always ask for and are terrified of, is change.

Not true...this was 2008, the historic collapse was 2007. I was in attendance and had radio in ear, it was the last game and Mets needed to win to get in (and lost), but not the “historic collapse”
