Didn't see a thread for this yet, so here we go.

How crazy is it that the Knicks start the season just like the Jets?

They start out in the worst way, getting down 10-2 quickly, and fans are thinking, "Here we go again!" Then they regain their composure and take care of business in a convincing fashion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting this to continue, but I do think there might be a bright future here in another year or 2.

They got some young pieces, Noah Vonleh brought a lot of energy to the team last night and how about Allonzo Trier? Hardaway Jr was on fire. If Knox can get some confidence and KP can come back at the after the all-star break, they could be pretty decent

Yeah, Knox has the moves, he just has trouble finishing, but that should improve over time.

So much for the optimism from game 1.

    Tough battle with the Celts.

Knox goes down. He is truly just a kid and needs strength training badly. He'll fill out a little and maybe even grow another inch. But I say they scored with this pick, it'll take time for him tho.

Trier is a gamer and a find. Looks like his ears are on upside down, lol. He needs to swap each of them around to the other side.

Trier needs a different barber. Probably would make his ears appear even. Knox is the Knicks' Robby Anderson body wise. He needs muscle. LOTS more of it as he looks like the 19yr old kid he is. KP comes back, Baker stops shooting 3's, Hardaway stays focused and Fizdale stops outsmarting himself, the Knicks will be much improved towards the end of this season going into next.

Fun game in Dallas. Robinson sky walkin again and Trier on a mission. Both guys highly competitive. Everybody played.

Fizdale is reminding me of the Hubie Brown Knicks. Looking forward to Knox getting back in there. He started to flash just when he sprained his ankle.

Knox, Robinson, Frankie getting their experience; Porzingis comes back and they're gonna be fun. Two units coming at ya in waves a la Hubie

If the Knicks get the 1st pick (which I doubt. Just so unlucky) would you trade Zion Williamson for Anthony Davis?

I wouldn’t tbh. He seems to only want to sign an extension with the Lakers.

No. In a sport where one great player can lead to success Davis has been a consistent loser. Let him go to LA with an aging and breaking down LeBron that nobody wants to play with and see how much they win having to give up Kuzma, Ball and maybe Ingram to get him.

Considering how bad the Jets sucked after you started this thread, the Knicks season has been like the Jets season after all.

The Knicks should avoid this like the plague. It would pretty much counter the way they have been building the team over the past couple years. Stick with the young guy and surround him with other young talent. Last time this team had chemistry was right before the Melo trade. Please don't repeat the same mistake and shuffle it all up again.

KP will be healthy, plus Knox has been looking decent and Robinson has been progressing. If the Knicks are going to trade for anybody right now it should be Dennis Smith Jr, the guy they should have drafted instead of Frank. Add a top pick, sign a decent FA, and you might just have a team.

Get Zion, steal Irving from the Cs. Perhaps sign another big time player as well.

I think that's a good deal for the Knicks. Pairing Dennis Smith with Zion. that's a future

You mean future 6th man of the year Dennis Smith Jr? Because Irving is coming to the Knicks with Durant. Draft Zion also.

    Irving
    Knox
    Durant
    Zion
    Robinson
    6th Dennis Smith Jr

I’m not upset by this. Porzingis is a very good player but often injured. If Dallas can swing a 1st rd pick as well into it it’s not a bad trade. I am more worried that it makes us good enough to miss out on the top pick in the draft.
