I'd like to sign Hunt, but I also want to make sure that he's gotten the help he needs to avoid becoming a repeat offender.

It's only repeating what we are being told to this point, but he has been going through anger management & drinking resolution since the suspension hit.

Hard to fault Macc for applying his beliefs to his GM-moves, but I do think Hunt would be a major get for us.

Why would we want Hunt ? I mean if the guy went for therapy and other counseling not to mention anything else that the NFL and the public asked of him ,WHY would the Jets bee interested in a young talented guy like that ? Of course there could be a line in the sand that you could say this guy crossed and there is no turning back but I think it is pretty stupid for ANY team at this time to comment or commit one way or another = IMO I would never say never ,its just foolish to come out and say it.

    Le'Veon Bell.
    Le'Veon Bell.
    Le'Veon Bell.
    Le'Veon Bell.
    Le'Veon Bell.

Will INSTANTLY transform our entire offense both rushing out of the backfield and receiving from all over the offensive side of the ball as a true work horse and as one of the NFL's top 3 offensive game-changers.

Will improve Sam Darnold's development as well ala 2nd year with Manning once landing Edge James.

It's been a long time coming since this fan base has experienced and witnessed an explosive offense and i couldnt care less what anyone has to say about "just a RB" Le'Veon is an excellent start and will make Sam's job a lot easier while taking a little pressure off the kid QB and Franchise hopeful.

This is what the League is coming to isn't it? a bunch of gangstas who tackle, run and catch a football...sorry to say

These are guys (like in Basketball ) who get 250 million contracts for 5 years???? Meanwhile kids in school read at a 4th grade level, disrespect Teachers, have dysfunctional homes and expect to make it in the real world..Where are these guys (in Sports) encouraging kids to get an education or finish College??..just disgusting imo

I used to think Pro athletes were role models for kids ..I mean Joe Namath had his dark side (with booze) but never disrespecting woman or breaking the law..always up and positive

I mean a lot has happened since Jim Thorpe hasn't it..

I blame Mike Macc for a lot of shit he has done, but I am with him on this issue. Say no to anyone who resorts to violence.

Don't just take my words for it - calm down and think about it for a while.

The only good outcome we can hope for is, Hunt does clean his act up and play. [You know I am not betting on that.]

Suppose, for instance, the team is well on its playoff course with him as an integral part of the offense. Then, a week before the Conference final, he beats up on a girl and is suspended. What do we do now? Are you willing to take that much risk for just ONE guy? Yes, he will improve the team a lot [next] year, but is it worth the risk? I have to see something to say he is worth the risk. So far I have nothing. Absolutely nothing. [Also this is what happened with KC this year. He was sorely missed during their home defeat in the conference final.]

No to anyone who resorts to violence? We'd better cut Enunwa then, right?

Ok - let me change the phrasing a little bit. Say no to "men who committed domestic abuse, and have shown no discernible changes as of yet."

    Happy?

Enunwa only got the chance to show discernible changes because we gave him that chance.

    Head Case.

    Me. Me. Me. Me. Me.

"Transform the Offense?" AYKM? Is he bringing an O-line with him?

How will handing the ball off to Bell 25 times/game help Darnold develop? (although it might help him take fewer hits)

Damn if you do ..Damn if you don't

Quincy like a few other players has cleaned up his act..will Hunt? I hope so

TBH, The vast majority of the pool of applicants and talent in the NFL don't come from homes like the Rosen family with two Ivy League Drs for parents..lol

It is what it is and Teams have to weigh character vs raw ability

  13. Yeah..I get all of this.

I'm just ready to throw moral fiber to the way side. Karma never seems to catch up to the Patriots w. all their controversy & bullshit. I'm tired of losing...especially to them. While I don't believe copying them in every facet is the way to go...I am willing to accept a few less than desirable characters as do they, as long as they are good teammates, show up on sunday & keep a low profile.

This team is absolutely dreadful at scouting skill. I have zero faith in them surrounding Sam w. more weapons & more than likely will ignore it entirely to go defense & OL. Hunt is an instant upgrade & seemingly for cheap. If he's on the road to making changes to himself personally I'd want him here. I'm sick and F'n tired of losing. Almost as sick of the team going years on end w.o a meaningful skill player who produces every week.

The big question is how do you know if he is on that road, making changes to himself?
This is far from an isolated incident.
Three violent assaults in 5 months, and he had issues in College and going back to high school, there's a reason he wasn't recruited and ended up in Toledo.
Now he will take some counseling and read a statement prepared by his agent and magically transform?
It's a sad story, you hope a kid with his talent does well but that's often not the case.
Plus after this, the league will give him zero slack. This is going to play out like Gordon and Manziel.
The problem is, if you do sign him , he becomes a key piece of the offense and when, he gets suspended again, what do you do?
It's like signing an injury prone player. He may be great when healty, but doesn't help too much from the IR.

I get your frustrations, but there might not be a skill player worth taking at 3 or the spot we trade down to. And the OL needs upgrades. I'd like to trade down, get a 2nd, then go: 1. OL 2. WR 3. OL 3. RB 4. OL
I'm hoping that we sign a FA Edge to make it less of a priority come draft time. If we stay at 3, it's probably gonna be Edge.

This is what I’d like to see. Address edge in FA if possible and draft an OL.

Bell is my one must add FA, he is a dynamic playmaker that will dramatically change our offense. He provides a great security blanket for our young franchise QB. Give him what he wants.

At WR I would love for us to pick up one of Adam Humphries, Tyrell Williams, or Jamison Crowder. Humphries and Crowder have phenomenal YAC ability while Tyrell Williams offers some nice deep threat ability. We need to add depth to our WR core so we don't end up one sprained ankle away from starting Andre Roberts or Deontay Burnett.

For OL we should look into adding Saffold and/or Paradis. Upgrade center and replace Carpenter. Trent Brown is also a great choice.

James was drafted though. We can draft Sam a RB. Great RB value can always be had in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. No need to spend on Bell
