This is stupid. Of course he didn't. Neither did Jamal Adams or Avery Williamson or Mike Pennel or Henry Anderson. Are you sitting here criticizing them? The agenda is clear.
yeah I have an "agenda" against Darron Lee... I dislike him personally. WTF. people are so weird and emotional these days If he didn't do a good job and the beat writer pointed it out then what is the problem with saying he didn't do a good job?
See, this is why it's kind of hard to believe you don't have an agenda. Lee went with his assignment, as he pointed out... but he's a primadonna for pointing out so either way, he loses. Whatever, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'll just enjoy Lee's emergence as a top pass defending LB in the league.
The defense Bowles brings is about assignment and gap discipline. Not every linebacker plays coverage the way Lee does, and I am thankful the Jets have him, because without him perhaps they don't win against the Lions the way they did, or even the Colts game. Sure, go get yourself a Brandon Spikes and watch a team rape him on passing downs each and every time. Then, fans will complain about the linebackers in coverage. It's a passing league now, Lee is that new age of linebackers like a Deion Jones. When you watch the play, observe where Adams and Williamson are. Playing linebacker isn't as easy as you suggest Browning.
Jet fans complained they didn't have a cover LB last year when Lee was bad and Davis was mediocre. Now Lee is emerging as one of the leagues best cover LB's and they still bitch at him. I swear some fans need to go root for the damn Giants instead.
Lee trying to get back in the good graces of Jets fans. That tweet worked for me. Hopefully the Jets truly can!
I really see him and Leonard Williams taking a big step in the right direction under Williams. For one, I think they will be schemed more towards their strengths, but also they need someone to light a fire under their asses. Could see big improvement with these guys.
If you can't see what he brought to the team after the evidence of the 4 games he was suspended showed what he was actually bringing to the team all along. He was a moderate performer in his first season but he was vastly improved in the second, suspension aside which boils my piss but let us not go there again.
Again that’s not his role, that’s AW’s role and before that Demario Davis. Lee was playing his role well but was still playing out of position.
Lee is going to have a monster year if we do end up switching to a 4-3 defense. He's a perfect fit at the WILL linebacker spot.
Lee is probably the player who will see the most improvement under Williams. He took a huge step forward this year despite playing out of position for the most part. He'll do much better with more freedom to roam and pursue from the backside...in addition to some added coverage responsibility.
Any chance of trading Lee? Reports are that the Broncos may be interested, as there isn't much talent in the FA pool remaining for ILB's. Any team trading for him will have the opportunity to apply the 5th year option. I'd love a 4th, but might have to settle on a 5th.
