You can thank Bill Polian for that and his whining about the way the Patriots played defense against his soft Colts. All that did was NE flip the switch, bring in Moss and Welker and turn Brady from game manager to GOAT and the rest is history like we'll never see again in our lifetime

They showed every angle on the replay. For every angle that looked like he touched it there was another angle that missed him by a mile. Hence the ruling and no outrage.

Not playing defense and not being able to run the ball might be two reasons.

I wouldn't either until at least the 4th championship.

There's no outrage cause Brady threw a pick the next play. If he didn't and that ruling actually cost the Chiefs, you bet there would be outrage

As bad as some calls were the Chiefs had the game won. They overcame a bad call went down the field scored and made a big defensive play when they intercepted the ball with 45 seconds left in the game, however Dee Ford was so offside I thought he was an offensive player.

If Dee Ford shows discipline and stays onside the Chiefs are in the SB.

I pray that you, and your Patriots flag waving will just go away.

  9. Biggs,

We go back along way..i respect you & although we dont always agree i like to think we both try to see things from all sides.

I believe i have plenty of perspective on this issue.Unless im missing some subtlety it appears you are unaware that ive lived in NE my whole life.

    I have 2 seperate points.

1.As it pertains to this thread my disdain is toward Jet posters being stripped of their emotional expression for tongue in cheek expletives while passive aggressive patriot types are given free reign to inflict.I see a double standard thats favorable to non jet fans. Ive PM’d this feeling to Brook! & we have reached an understanding. I appreciate the his time & amendable solution.

    2. I lived through “Yankees suck” & similar venom this region scathed when the red sox werent winning.Ive listened to them use sports as an ego boost & filling of a void all the while.“All sports fans are the same” is a FIB based on my perspective as it pertains to these fans.

If spygate/tuck rule/deflategate/wiregate roles were reversed or god forbid it was the Yankees..theyd Be wearing t shirts, throwing a parade & breaking down the commish door. But bc it suits them winning youll never hear a single word of moral fiber. Yes all fans are self serving but these people take it to the absolute extreme. And theyre extremely eager to share that viewpoint.Deflection, rationalization & further infliction. These are hypocritical bias, self centered mean spirited folk. You can say im generalizing, stereotyping & honestly i wish i was.But this is 95% of them. Anyone from this area who is not a patriot fan..football follower or otherwise knows this.

Being that you lived in NE you should know this passive aggressive ribbing is their entire M.O.Appear diplomatic, slide the insult under the table cloth while your back is turned.

Yeah we turn the other cheek..but why should we anymore? Theres clearly no decency & they want the gloves to be off. Why do we let them off the hook & think better of it?

Before you say im being sensitive..what the hell are THEY being? Being a die hard fan is about bein emotional.Im not gonna applogize for it.If an opposing fan is going to inflict misery in our direction repeatedly, pompously ignoring evidence of tainted wins..its fight fire w fire.

Im not one to take things lying down & used to think all other Jet fans were the same..when did we start letting a collective group of assholes walk all over us & our board?Cause guess what? The Johnsons are never giving us a retaliatory shot back at new england. Its on us.

I love the Stowe/Waterbury area the most, but I love the entire state. Eden and Belvidere along Rte. 100 during the Fall is great. Ever visit The Round Church in Richmond? I know all of the nerdy places. And then there's all the Christmas lights with the Mormon freaks in Sharon, VT (Joseph Freak Smith's birthplace). I can't recall the name of the puppet thing with all of the hippie chit freaks at the moment, what is it now. I got it! The Bread and Puppet Theater in Glover. A lot of hippie chit freaks in VT. I used to snowshoe in Smuggler's Notch. I'm sure you've thrown back a beer or two at Nectar's in Burlington. Stowe. Sigh. So many of the old restaurants are gone. It's a shame. Anyway, fck the Super Bowl, happy skiing!
    Wait, what? No.

If this, then that....Brady saw the flag on the snap, knew it was a free play, didnt even move after the supposed INT

Nah i love people that make dramatic "look at me'' exits from message boards only to stick around and respond to posts not directed at them

    Just ask abyzmul. ; )

  16. No..it wasnt “look at me”.It was genuine frustration over what i viewed as an injustice.

An how is a reply directly to me THEN being quoted by someone else not in someway related or directed at me?

But the rules are the same for everyone.

Why does this one team dominate like this? Why does no one have a answer for what they do?

I think there's also a severe lack of great coaching too. Andy Reid is a great regular season coach, struggles in the playoffs.

Who else is out there? John Harbaugh was on the hot seat this season. McCarthy didn't even make it through the season. Pete Carrol choked against the Pats at the goal line.

Who's out there that can be considered a truly great coach?

Jim Harbaugh was the guy. Great coach but he left for college a terrible blow for the NFL.

The league is trying to push McVay as possibly the next great coach well here's his chance.

I never root for injury or death to any one. Acute halitosis is as far as a go.

FYI I grew up a huge Mets fan and hated the Yankees. I lived in Boston for 2 years about 2 blocks from Fenway. That was before inter-leauge play. I bought a Yankee cap and sat in the bleachers and went to every Yankee game in Fenway those 2 years and gave the Sox fans a ration of shit that was off the charts. The beauty of it was, Al Jackson, a former Mets pitcher, was the pitching coach for the Sox and I used to sit in the bleachers right above the box and talk to him about the Mets in the 60's. He laughed his ass off when I was giving Sox fans the business and he worked for them. It was fun!

Boston owns are ass right now in sports. It's a competition. We are fans and have no control. Marty Lyons got a flag for "giving him the business". Be a fan live and die with your team, hate all things Boston but have fun. When it's not fun that's a sign that it's time for a time out.

I always enjoy your comments and I get it but perspective still matters. Don't leave the board. Watch the SB, root for the Rams, of course the Pats are going to win. Who cares its football.

    I must respond.

Just another knowledgeable, informed fan who was forced or compelled to leave due to the ruminations of average fans
