Why have any sudden death in a playoff game. Play 15 minutes whoever is ahead wins. If it's still tied do it again.

Honestly, these last few years have shown that the AFC is crap right now. Since Manning retired, there's no one in the AFC to really challenge the Patriots. The Steelers and the Ravens are no longer elite teams and the rest are nothing special. The Chiefs seem to be up-and-coming unless they end up being a one year wonder. These Patriots teams are in no way nearly as good as the teams we saw in the '00 decade and yet here we are with a 3rd straight Patriots SB appearance.

    Kurt,

I respect you as a poster. So maybe I am wrong. But I don't see Patriot and CJLang as trolls. They come here to discuss football. Until they are provacative we have to stomach their posts where they enjoy a win. Again this is just me. We have other mods and admins on this board and they can think differently but I see nothing wrong here. They are Pats fans and they will hold their ground.

Gurley needs to have a big game catching the football in my opinion. That Patriots secondary is no joke. Goff will have a tough outing if they can't run the ball.

If it is still ok with you, I will say my prayers for the Jets. I would like to see them win one before Broadway Joe passes away. Besides who knows, maybe my prayers for the Jets can help. Besides what do we have to lose here?

I find it amazing how society likes to control how you think. Just because I am a Patriot fan does not mean I can't be a Jet fan also. I take the same shit from Patriot fans, but neither fan base can change the way I think, sorry. To suggest I am trolling is sort of silly, you will see I have been posting here for quite a while.

Many years ago I use to post in the Pats forums but the Massholes there are brainwashed that Brady by himself wins these games. In general, they are less intellectual about the game than folks in this forum.

There are many reasons for the Patriot success. In my recent posts, I have been trying to educate you guys how they're left Tackle Trent Brown was an important acquisition in the Jimmy G trade.

If the Pats win the Superbowl, it will probably be due to their offensive line plus the selfless blocking of other teammates. Speaking of this, I would like to mention another dude named James Develin. He is a very special player. He is 6 foot 3" and about 250 pounds. What very few people know is that he is the strongest Patriot player. Yes, he is stronger than the 300 pound and over lineman in the team. The point I am trying to make here is blocking involves the offensive line and the rest of the team. How good was the blocking for the rest of the team for the Jets this year?

You all want to see a successful Jet team, and yet when I try to point out how the Patriots succeed, you all don't want to hear it. To suggest like the Boston and National media that the reason the Pats win is all about Brady is simply football ignorance.

For the Jets to be successful it will take more than Sam the QB. So during the offseason, I would like to see intelligent conversation not only about how the Jets improve their offensive line, but how they improve the blocking from other players.

This might be intuitively obvious, good offenses block well and good defenses tackle well. I find it simply amazing as a fan of this game how the so-called media football experts refuse to discuss the battle of the trenches. If fantasy football also included offensive lineman for example, then I may be interested in it.

I hate to say it, but as much as I'd love to see the Rams take revenge against the Cheats, I can't see it happening. I'm just disgusted. Refs gonna ref, Cheats gonna Cheat. I fully expect the refs to throw flags for imaginary infractions and essentially let NE get away with anything and everything. That RTP call yesterday, my eyes are still bleeding. I'm out this year. I'm not even watching this atrocity. I mean it.

i don't believe the players union approves of that.

don't u think that would be a problem if your team gets trapped in a double OT game one week and has to turnaround and play the following thursday night.

Meh, the Chiefs inability to adjust on defense was the true reason for their demise. It was the same 5 plays over and over again it felt like.

You make some excellent points. I think you forgot to mention that the Pats were getting pressure on Mahomes, especially in the middle in the first half. The Chiefs made adjustments to protect Mahomes better in the 2nd half.

As for Hunt, Williams had three touchdowns, two receiving and one rushing. So going from Hunt to Williams was not as big a dropoff as expected. Also, many folks on this board suggesting Reid is an idiot is idiotic. I can see the Chiefs easily retooling and winning a Super Bowl next year. He is a good coach and an offensive minded genius. Give the Chiefs a better defense and watch out!

In general, I think offensive lines are getting away with too many holding calls, especially on pass plays. I find it amazing how on running plays you see more holding calls. I would like to see some improvement in this area. I also think the pass interference call has ruined the game and does anyone really know what it is anymore?

What also is upsetting is how players are being allowed to block downfield before the pass is even caught. The Patriots got flagged for this during the game and rightfully so.

I also think the so-called obvious pick play should not be allowed and yes the Patriots have also benefited from this big time.

But I will try to say something positive, years ago when instant replay was not used, you saw many bad calls affect a game. Yes, the refs do affect the outcome of games today, but not as bad as in the past without instant replay.

Not in a playoff game. It's an elimination game. If you don't win you don't move on. Nothing wrong with ties during the season. They should trade OT during the season for a workable playoff elimination.

You can think however you want. Nobody is stopping you. You can also post whatever your heart desires.

Just don't come in to a Jet's forum and post a "prayer" for the Patriots and expect it to be unnoticed. That's all.

  12. Brook i respect you too.

Thats why this will be my last post on TGG

I come here to get away from people like CJ & Patriot. If the benefit of the doubt cant be given to jet fans on a jets board when faced w blatant trolls just dipolmatic & passive aggressive enough to cloud their intentions whats the point in even calling a jets board? “Gamg green & friends” would be more appropriate & i fail to see the companionship or good conversation.

Its been almost 2 decades of this crap.If i wanted to have my face rubbed in it..id step outside my house.I know im not alone..but who knows maybe I am.

    Best of luck.

Plus they couldn't stop a nosebleed, but still, that RTP call was out of this galaxy bad. I just can't see the Rams getting treated fairly regardless of their game plan or whether or not they shoot themselves in the foot all on their own. All that being said, I'm officially jaded now, and you just know we're gonna have to see that Neanderthal with an asscrack on his chin hoisting the Lombardi again. It's sickening. I'm not putting myself through it. I'm considering taping the game, but no way would I ever watch it unless I flick on the radio hours later and hear that the Rams somehow managed the upset of the century. I'm so rooting for Marshall Faulk's Revenge, but I'm just not feeling it. If it was the Saints (and we know what happened with that), I might be feeling it. Fukk these refs. When you play the Cheats, the refs are the 12th man on the field. It's not as if I've been lying to myself about it, but I can't stomach it anymore. I'm not adding to the NFL's Nielson ratings this time.

Hold on Kurt. I won't change 1 Kurt to 100 Pats fans on this board. I don't openly do this but what will it take for you to reconsider this? I hate to lose Jets fans from this board. Please let's take it private and I can even give you a call to discuss if you want to discuss over the phone.

This is a thread that by it’s very nature is about the Patriots since they were in the AFCCG. It’s not like they went into Jets threads and posted it; this is the absolute appropriate thread for Pats fans to celebrate it. Don’t want to see Pats fans enjoy the moment, don’t go into a thread where the Patriots are the discussion.

Williams had a good second half after adjustments were made. I think people forget how productive Hunt actually was for the Chiefs. In 11 games this year he had 207 Touches, over 1200 yards from scrimmage with 7 TD's rushing and 7 catching passes out of the backfield. He was amazingly productive both with Smith and Mahomes and he would have provided an early outlet for Mahomes when the Pats were blasting him up the middle. He was also a very good inside runner. Williams had 10 rushes for 30 yards. They used him on the edge in the passing game effectively in the second half but he was completely ineffective out of the backfield either on screens or inside traps when the Pats were coming up the middle. He did nothing to take the pressure off up the middle in the first half. The TOP in the first half had a lot to do with the Chiefs D collapsing down the stretch. The Pats had a great game plan to sell out up the middle. The Chiefs really didn't have an answer for it until the second half.

In the past DB's were allowed hand contact and OL men couldn't extend their arms. Head contact wasn't in the rule book. A catch was much more clear cut. The fact that the rule book has expanded has made the refs more involved in the outcome not less involved. Instant replay helps but the fact is the refs are deciding games even with instant replay.

Stopped reading after that. Please just stop with this nonsense. There is no way in HELL that anyone would be a dual fan of a division rival unless there's some type of brain damage involved or your Uncle Johnny works for one of them. Probably not even then. It's not your football opinions that are irksome, it's your fake ingratiating line of shit.

Yup NFL thread during the playoffs. I don't mind a good football discussion but the prayer thing was a tad over the top. I wouldn't ban him for it but it definitely would get a 15 yard penalty for excessive celebration. You would think by now Pats fans would know how to act like a gracious winner.

VT, nice! I love VT and know it like the back of my hand. I'd rather feed Otis the goat at Morse Farm in Montepelier than watch the SB. I am not watching it, to be clear. Where are you skiing? BTW, I do believe Otis is a girl.

I order Morse Farm's maple syrup all the time. It's outrageously delicious. What was this about again? The Cheats. Right.
