Now alls we need is Sal Alosi brought back as our Strength and Conditioning coach! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!
Gase said in his presser (I think it was the presser) that he wants someone who can be a head coach of the defense because he's focusing on offense. I like that a lot, that's the winning formula it seems (McVay, Reid, etc. do this). It also sounds like a PERFECT job for Williams. Go get him. Please.
If we lose Williams to the Redskins (or anyone else for that matter) it will be because that's where he wants to coach. It won't be Gase "screwing it up." Sorry that doesn't fit some of your guys' agenda. You are going to blame him for everything you perceive as negative. I'm sure the next drug suspension will be his fault. Or if we don't get Bell. Or if we don't draft whoever the fuck you want. It's getting old.
I believe that in this situation, if Williams goes somewhere else, it's about the organization as a whole, not Gase Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
“We don’t (expletive) apologize for how we’re going to play. You’re here for a reason. You’re here because we saw in you and we hope we picked the right person that won’t apologize for competing the way we have to compete. There may be better athletes, but not defensive football players that have to go into war tomorrow and play the way we (expletive) play. A mind troubled by doubt, cannot focus on victory. The NFL’s a production business, don’t ever forget about it. Where are we at right now? We got a tie at the top. We’ve got a lot of guys up at the top. Kill the head and the body will die. Kill the head and the body will die. We’ve got to do everything in the world to make sure we kill Frank Gore’s head. We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways. Little 32 (Kendall Hunter), we want to knock the (expletive) out of him. He has no idea what he’s in for. When he’s on the sidelines, we’ve gotta turn that (expletive) over, turn their coaches over, turn the spectators over, go get that (expletive) on the sidelines. It’s a great game, it’s a production business. We hit (expletive) (Alex) Smith right there. (Williams points to his chin). Remember me, I’ve got the first one. I’ve got the first one. (Williams rubs his fingers together to indicate he’ll pay money for the hit). Go lay that (expletive) out! We’re gonna dominate the line of scrimmage and we’re gonna kill the (expletive) head. Every single one of you, before you get off the pile, affect the head. Early. Affect the head. Continue, touch and hit the head. They’re gonna come in, they’re gonna be shocked with our contact. They’re gonna be shocked with our speed. They’re gonna be shocked with our strip. Make ’em kick field goals. Be the best defense in that stadium. Remember the walk-aways, and remember whatever it takes. Whatever it takes to get on that bus, drive back to that airport, and get ready for the next one. Respect comes from fear. This is how you get respect in this league. We need to find out in the first two series of the game. The little wide receiver, No. 10 (Kyle Williams) … about his concussion. We need to (expletive) put a lock on him right now. He needs to decide. He needs to (expletive) decide. We need to decide whether Crabtree wants to be a fake (expletive) prima donna, or he wants to be a tough guy. We need to find it out. He becomes human when we (expletive) take out that outside ACL. We need to decide on how many times we can beat Frank Gore’s head. We need to decide how many times we can bull-rush, and we can (expletive) put Vernon Davis’ ankles over the pile. We need to decide and when they are fearing us, they give us the ball. Alex Smith, in the preseason game, when you guys (expletive) avalanched that (expletive), had eyes that big. You all saw ’em. Another thing we always say, in this room, is never apologize for the way we compete. If you’re in this room, you understand that. We don’t apologize.”
You mean Kevin Gilbride, and I don't think it has the potential to be THAT bad. Williams has to be on his best behavior. If he can't co-exist with other coaches, he will never become a true HC again if that's his mission still.
No, I meant Mike Ditka and Buddy Ryan, with the Bears: Safety Dave Duerson (1983-1990) has stated that Ditka only interfered in a defensive meeting once, when Ryan told him to "get out, this is my team, these are my players.” http://www.bearshistory.com/lore/ditkaandryan.aspx You’re talking Ryan and Gilbride with the Oilers: When Ryan was defensive coordinator with the Houston Oilers, he punched offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride on the sideline on national TV. https://www.chicagotribune.com/spor...quotes-incidents-spt-0629-20160628-story.html
