I was thinking that but on the same token that's practically what we have minus a top guy. Gase seems like he will be OC pretty much on offense and Williams is the DC. Only thing they are missing is one coach to Rhule them all.
If Jets use a base 4-3, then I guess the Jets should entertain trading down for Clelin Ferrell, no reason to draft Josh Allen to play with his hand in the dirt
Looks like Jamal just became the third loudest person on the Jets! Who would have thought president Mal would have to work on his “yelling” game this off season? This is shaping up to be a Rex like squad but with accountability! I like it!!!!
As long as he can stay off a pulling guard he’ll be fine. He made himself a first round pick playing this position , I love this move for him,Williams and maye.
Lets see Maye stay healthy if he can and we will see how Lee works out I have never been a big fan but would be happy to eat crow.
Lee’s been improving every year. I am more concerned with him off field than on. As for maye, Williams likes a lot of man, cover 1 on the backside. A lot of opportunities for maye to make plays playing center field.
I hear you and when I see Lee flourishing in anyones system I will be a believer as for Maye lets see him on the field period.
Sooo excited. If Sam takes a big step forward this team can really be exciting! Been a while since I have had some optimism.
Established DC and former HC. Nice combo insurance policy by Macc. Throw in Boyer and I think the FO has done pretty ok for itself this offseason. Now it all comes down to if CrazyEyes can unite the CS and meld these players into 3 units on a single team, or are they going to be 3 seperate teams wearing the same unis. We've all seen teams where the D and the O were at each other's throats, blaming each other and so forth. Hoping this won't be the case here.
WildCard... If he is, I'm hoping he stays up in the booth and relays the birdseye view of the defensive formations down to Gase since Gase will do the play calling. We don't need a great OC in that scenario. Just one that knows what to look for.
Gase had already said in the interview with Kay that he was calling the plays. Dowell would just be sitting in on the meetings and pitching ideas. Gase is the OC
Great news! I was worried they would miss the ball on this one. Now I'm really excited about the Jets next year. The head coach doesn't have to worry about the defense, and can directly develop Sam Darnold. Hopefully what I'm hearing about Lee / Leonard Williams fitting a 4-3 well is true. This is exponentially better than a defensive minded HC paired with a mediocre at best OC.
