The only thing I gathered from today's press conference is that Gase wants to get his hands on Sam Danold... like REALLY BADLY.

I listened to the ESPN podcast and he came across as a football lifer and obviously knows the game. My still-remaining concern is can he successfully relate to the players and coaches and get them to execute his vision? It's not clear that he was able to do this in Miami, so has he learned - CAN he learn - to do this? No doubt he'll work his ass off, but really, that's a given - ALL coaches do that, I'm sure Bowles did that to the very end. The difference is can he get others to do what he wants them to do, and is what he wants to do a successful strategy? Also, when he was asked about his prickliness with the media, he admitted to "firing back" sometimes - that is not going to do well here unless he's built a winning reputation. If he tries that his first season when they're 0-4 or 2-6, he's going to be crucified. These are the two areas of concern with him. Beyond that I still have MAJOR concerns about Macc and the Johnsons being able to get the talent in here, especially on offense. It's good they're making changes, but we won't know if they're good changes until next season. They don't necessarily need to make the playoffs, but they need to be in the hunt until the end and showing that they can beat anyone. If they do that, there's some reason to hope.

the other peculiar thing i caught was that he didn't care about not being included in personnel decisions or something to that effect.......WTF!! guess he doesn't care who shops for the groceries. folks this is gonna be 1000x better than kotite, herm, mangini, and rex combined. LOL
