Win or lose the Isles need to pick it up and I am sure Trotz will tell them so. It's great that they have won 9 of 11 but the last 3 games they haven't looked sharp at all. Eventually that will catch up with them and bite them in the ass. Hopefully the Isles get another regulation win this Saturday and that will be the final nail in the Rangers coffin. I also like the fact that this game starts at 1:00 which makes for a great sports Saturday with the Colts/Chiefs at 4:30 followed by the Cowboys/Rams at 8:00
I wish they would tweak the lineup and make a move or 2. Still a lot of hockey left we are just about halfway there so much can still happen. I was a thinking about going tomorrow but Im on the fence
By the way, what the hell was that piece of shit McLeod's problem on Thursday? That guy represents all that is ridiculous about NHL hockey.
As teams transition from bottom of the barrel to good team, it brings out the true colors of some of the scumbags in the NHL. He probably wanted to send a message to the islanders, similar to game against Ottawa, all of a sudden Ottawa wanted to send a message after getting stomped.
Bad loss for the good guys they did not look good today, that 5-3 with zero shots on net was pathetic. They need more offense they just cannot score goals !!!! They can make some noise but they must get some offense as we can see the system works,,,time for a trade ! BTW anyone see Nelson skating AWAY yet yapping at games end = he is just so soft,,I know I know he has not looked horrible but it pains me to watch him----> and Bailey = game winner the other night and misses a wide open net today--> I just can't !
These are the games that make you realize Tarasenko is probably worth everything the Blues would ask for him.
I forgot they play today, surprisingly they have a 3-0 lead on the lightning. I hope they can pull this one out.
Very impressive bounce-back win for the boys over the best team in the NHL (both teams playing in back-to-backs, although the Isles' was at home while the Lightning's was on the road).
A reporter asked him why he thought they play so well on the second games of back to backs and Trotz said he’d be interested to know what their record was on the first games; he didn’t know.
Islanders in a close one with the Blues,,,Blues have been hot lately we could use another goal LETS GO ISLANDERS!
