This would be the best possible outcome. It's not going to happen though. They are waiting for Loggains to finish his courtesy OC in Miami so they can officially sign him to Gase's staff, then announce everything.

Why? It makes NO sense. It's almost like Woody saw all the articles about how the fan base doesn't like the Gase hire now he's getting cold feet. Kinda like what happened when the hit pieces started coming out on Marrone. If they back off from Gase who wil they get? It'll be another option Z hire no one else wants or another affirmative action hire Kris Richard. Got fired as Seahawks DC, took a demotion to become the Cowboys DB coach all of a sudden he's a 'hot' HC candidate.
Monken, the guy we should have hired in the first place. Or Richard with Monken as OC considering he's now doing OC interviews.
Gase will be creating the gameplan calling the plays, so you aren't going to get anyone other than mopes like this dude to accept the "OC" position.
Man that would suck @ss!!!!! Tampa Bay turned over the ball a gazillon times, benched their QBs multiple times this past season. Yeah he'll be fantastic for Darnold. Frickin' Jets. LOL Ya can't make this stuff up.
