Gase demands nothing but the best. If you don’t fit that mold then you don’t belong in his team.

What exactly is wrong with that? Isn’t that what you want?

Y’all want a coach who babies players?

are you a part of his staff ? all ive seen is you defend the guy no matter what, i think he is an upgrade over bowles by the way , but i think Mike McCarty would have been a slam dunk.

Fitz and McCown had career years under Bowles. I could care less what he did as OC with Manning.
Tannerhill regressed under him, Tebow was still unable to throw a football after 2 years with him.
He's unable to handle the HC position and play calling. He's disconnected from the rest of the team, is a terrible talent evaluator, I'd poor at clock management, poor at in game adustments, poor situational awareness.
Is disliked by his players. Very predictable play calling.
You have wanted Gase from the beginning of the Coaching search based on an article you read by Mhets. I'm here in S Florida. Exposed to the Dolphins, have ties to explayers. Gase sucks, you can not refute a single reason I gave you for disliking the hire.
Instead you reply with hypothetical scenarios. His QBs have been ranked mid 20s, 62 % completion pct. Not mid 60s, or upper 60s like your now suggesting.
The most important quality for a HC is to be a good leader. Gase has proven to be anything but.

I’m not defending him. Just giving my perspective.

From what I’ve read he’s big on accountability and expects a lot from his players. If that rubs them the wrong way then get the fuck off the team.

    That’s just how I feel.

Yeah, but Peyton Mannng gave him a good recommendation.

I may need to go off the grid for a bit after this... I'm fuming over this hire.

This is a clear case of you just hating him, which is fine.

To disregard what he did with Manning shows bias.

    Tannehill was 67% and 64%
Cutler was 64% and 62%( remember he was a gunslinger)
Manning 68% 68% 66% and 59(he was done at this point)

So what’s this 62% number you’re making up

The average of those 8 guys 64.75 and take away a dead armed Peyton and he’s at 65.5.

Darnold’s talent level exceeds these guys as well, Manning has the mental edge. I think he’s going to be great under Gase.

Do you throw away Cutler's back to back 58% years ?
Manning coached Gase, not the other way around... You quickly dismissed McCarthy due to Rodgers and Smith, who he actually developed!!!
    Tannerhill 64 %
    Cutler 62 %
    Brock Osweiler 63.5 %
    All 3 were his choices......
    31st ranked offense.
Bowles offenses outscored him 2 out of 3 years.
Guy sucks and that's a fact

Peyton is possibly the greatest QB of all time. And you're dismissing his opinion about offensive acumen of a head coach? O.....K.

I guess the random opinions of Jets fans who are disappointed with the hire holds more weight in your eyes?

I'm looking at the other HCs hired by other teams so far to me it looks like the Jets got the best one by far.

I don't have any evidence at this time to disprove what you're saying. Time will tell.

I don't care what his QBs did in Miami that was a strange setup with Tannehill. It's a mystery to me why that regime showed that much loyalty to a player they didn't draft. Cutler was a emergency last minute signing.

I'll judge him by what Darnold and other NYJ QBs do going forward. Winning. Both go hand in hand.

He develops Darnold the Jets will win.

He didn’t coach Cutler those years lol.

I’m gonna let you vent bro, I won’t even keep pushing the issue. Hopefully you calm down, this ain’t worth your sanity.
