From what I've read and heard, Gase is an egomaniac with control issues. That's ok if he's good, but if his decisions don't work out there's going to be a shit storm in NY. I'm betting on the shit storm.
His offenses with the Dolphins have been horrible. Especially his passing offense ... even when he had Tannehill. With every single rule designed to help the passing game, I think Tannehill managed to pass for under 200 yards five or six times this year. This has disaster written all over it.
