Which has to mean that there's more to it. I just can't see this happening over and over unless he's a pain in the ass in some way, and isn't making up for it on the ice.
The team is desperate for offensive help its a shame he did not step up but man I WOULD NOT have sent him back down without a good reason
I had hopes that Ho-Sang would perform well enough to be trade bait. But to send him down when they were playing well doesn’t sit well with me.
It’s going to be a love, hate relationship, every team has it with one player. However Filpula came back from his injury, someone had to be sent back. I’m glad they kept Towes, he has been very good for them, and Dal Cole seems to be playing the type of responsible, defensive hockey that Trotz likes. I believe it was a numbers game at this point, he’s going to come back, he’s got a propensity to try and make the flashy play when he needs to just make the smart, fundamentally correct play.
Tough loss last night but can't be critical as you can't win every game. The one thing that sucks is giving up the tie breaking goal late in the 3rd which cost them at least a point. Time to get ready for the Rangers at MSG on Thursday.
Just one of those games where the bounces didn’t go our way — Two goals off our defenders, the offsides that took away the tying goal in the second. Played well enough to win and poorly enough to lose.
I think Lou wants to make a trade, and of all our young players Ho-Sang is the one I’m happy to give up.
I think the love is ending - Ho-Sang simply wasn't any good (2 points in 10 games), and reports are that Trotz and Lou thought he was falling back into the same lazy plays on the ice as always in the last 5 games. I think that there's actually a decent chance that he never plays another game for the Islanders, and fully expect that unless he comes back up and actually accomplishes something this season he will be gone during the offseason.
I agree, you can see it. He was definitely going back into his old habits. He had plenty of opportunities to make a great pass or shoot a clean shot and he chooses to try the great play. Wouldn’t surprise to see him traded and honestly I wouldn’t mind it either.
Shitty penalty to start the game and then that cheap shot on Czikus I wish Martin had unloaded on Mcleod---that said good guys up 2 -1 my kids at the game,,,,hopefully we can get a nice lead and someone can punch out that punk Mcleod ---Lets Go Islanders !
WOW what a nice power play-------plenty of shots and puck movement , kept it in the zone forever and scored--good guys up 3 - 2
Have to play better in the rematch on Saturday. The first 2 periods were OK but that 3rd was ugly. Lehner kept us in it and we stole one tonight. LGI
