Or Rosen turns it around next year when they sure up the oline and get some talent for him and shines with his new HC like Goff.
Kliff won't get fired because of Rosen, he will get fired because they are going to lose games 45-42 cause they can't coach a defense. This would be Rosen's 3rd coordinator already in 2 years. Wilks couldn't utilize anyone on the offense correctly. Rosen will be exciting over in Arizona for sure. I just see a lot of 7-9, 6-10 seasons in the future.
Rosen will be a complete bust. With his lack of mobility, they'd have to draft Oline for the next 5 years at the expense of the rest of the team, and it still might not help. He's a less athletic and less gregarious Eli.........and like the giants I expect the excuses to flow for another couple years in Ariz before they move on. Kliff won't last long there.
How many play callers don't face criticism at some point in their careers? Andy Reid used to be criticized all the time for playcalling with the Eagles.
His adjustment still landed his offense 10 spots below kingsbury... there is only one style of play in the big 12 him adapting to it isnt some revoultionary thing. But again My major concern is him with Sam, Rhule has shown no ability to develop NFL talent
Same old Jets staying one step behind everybody else in the league instead of taking a swing for the fences, gonna end up with Gase or McCarthy and it makes me sick to my stomach.
I don't think it will be Gase. My guess is it's between Caldwell, Monken, and Rhule. I'm going on the fake news reports that McCarthy is sitting out.
Rhule is definitely cut from more of the HC cloth than Kingsbury. But if they hire Rhule, they will need a big time OC I still want McCarthy
That's how you get mike Vrabel, Id rather not be the 2018 titans. Rhule was an Oc for a year and a QB coach for 2 years but was a defensive coach for a total of 7 years. In his years at QB and OC whom did rhule help develop ? Answer is nobody. Rhule will more then likely bring a more temple defensive style team to New York then a Baylor style team since it's hard to replicate big 12 success since the defense in that conference is drek trash, which admittably is a knock on kingsbury as well but at least kingsbury helped in the developing of QB's which is something we can't say for Rhule
Ahhhhahhhh please hire Caldwell, I’ll actually have an excuse to stop rooting for this dumpster fire of a franchise. That would be the worst damn thing they could ever do. Offensive version of Todd Bowles, NO THANK YOU.
I really don't want Caldwell or Gase either. I guess I'm leaning toward Rhule right now but the Jets will need a strong OC to pair with him.
We have plans to interview Monken today, but I haven't heard any updates. Given that McCarthy looks unlikely, Monken's my top choice. Maybe we'll hire him tonight.
Yet he was faster than Darnold in the 20 yard Shuttle, much better on the vertical jump and was an astounding .07 slower than Darnold in the 40. Josh Rosen was a top 10 junior in USA tennis. The guy is way more athletic than Eli Manning. You don't have any idea what you're talking about. He's a pocket passer but he doesn't lack mobility.
Rhule HC Monken OC since he isn't getting any other HC interviews as far as I know Let's get this shit done.
He interviewed in Cincy. I could see them going for him. Established guy in the league, yet able to adapt. They are about to hit a rebuild hard. In fact I wouldn't be shocked if they hit it this year by trading Green and drafting Dalton's replacement.
I totally agree with this. Rhule came into perhaps the most toxic situation in the history of college football (it's second to JoPa/Sandusky if it's not the worst), and turned everything around almost instantly. Reading about it, I can't help but mentally substitute "Jets" in place of "Baylor" or "Bears" for the general sentiment being conveyed. Also, he grew up grew up on Roosevelt Island, which is an inconsequential but neat trait for a coach of the Jets. https://www.si.com/college-football/2017/02/01/baylor-bears-recruiting-matt-rhule Obviously recruiting isn't necessarily a thing in the NFL, but I think it speaks volumes to his personality and what kind of leader of men he is/can be.
