If you told me 3 months ago that the NFL world would be on the edge of their seats, wondering which front office Kliff F'ing Kingsbury was interviewing with... Yeah..
He was like the third best option honestly. Rhule Monken Kliff We still have the best candidates available for us.
http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-j...ets-could-get-schooled-on-head-coach-decision Careful what you wish for...
I liked him as an OC option also. Ariz is terrible though, and Rosen is not the answer. Career suicide. Maybe he'll be available next offseason if we need an OC again.
Yeah sounds like they're leaning towards Rhule. I personally would only have preferred Kingsbury as an OC....
It's speculation city out there. Browns job is between Kitchens and the vikings guy so if McCarthy wants to coach it's with us.
I really hope we don't end up with Rhule, we need an pure offensive minded coach. Rhule was all ground and pound and stop em with good defense at temple. He couldn't do that in the big 12 since it's an offensive conference so I'm sure he is hoping to go back to his roots... How many good NFL offensive players has been in part of developing in his college career? Robby Anderson is the only one I can think of and he never finished his college career at temple. We need someone for sam , I want my HC and OC all in one. I don't want to have to worry about hiring a good OC and then worry about losing that OC to a head coaching job and fucking Sam over. For the people who disliked Kliff it's not like Rhule has NFL experience either outside of one year with the giants as an assistant. It would be the same major leap of college HC to NFL HC but without any major reward of helping in sams devlopemnt. It's the easiest pass I've seen in a candidate but he may just be ours
Orrrrr he adjusted to his personnel and the style of play that was succeeding? Which is the exact quality we need in a head coach...
At least Rosen will be happy with this new hire. I don't think we offered Kliff the HC job. RHULE / MONKEN / GREG WILLIAMS / BOYER 2020 Or we can just hire McCarthy.
No we don't. We need a Head Coach. A leader, a motivator. It doesn't matter which side of the ball they came from (btw Rhule was an OC and QB coach).. We don't need some glorified OC trying to play HC.
Or...you could hire McCarthy who has NFL head coaching experience, groomed a young QB, and calls his own plays.
Rosen about to get his next HC fired. I predicted Ariz would fire multiple HC's before they admitted to themselves that Rosen was a bust. Already half way there!
