Ask yourself this... The Broncos are looking for a coach..... Why is Gase not even getting an interview there?

You can turn a blind eye and have this reaction, or you can look at Gase's entire body of work and realize that unless he had an all-time great doing all the work for him at the LOS he's been below average to shit. But I guess all that matters is he has experience.

There’s a clip of him someone completing a pass in green and white. I think it’s his only completion.

My college roommate, one of my college best friends and one of my closest childhood friends are all Dolphin fans... all have texted me to laugh at the Gase/Jets rumors.

The Pats interest was more than just a leak, it was the direct Brady quotes on the radio:

I guess that could be a coordinated thing, but it's not likely. At worst Brady is just propping up a guy he's acquaintances with, at best it means something positive.

    Sounds familiar.

Kingsbury had the #2 & #5 offense in the country with Mahomes, and then fell to #23 and #100 without him, and #24 & #54 before him.

Remember John DeFilippo? A couple months ago he was a SLAM DUNK Head Coaching candidate. Getting fired from the Vikings definitely hurt him. I am still open to the Jets hiring him as OC. Just depends who the Head Coach is I guess.

Ok well I think I’ll value common sense, logic and Peyton Manning’s own assessment of what went on over your opinion but thanks.

There’s also the whole thing that Gase doesn’t have to be the perfect candidate and he’s not. All he has to be is a better candidate than a guy who went 35-40 at Texas Tech U.

I think the results prove that to be so. But I think results don’t matter to a lot of people anymore which is sad

I'm also not an advocate of Kingsbury as the head coach so you're barking up the wrong tree. But at least you can point to the pros Kingsbury helped mold as something he's accomplished. Still waiting to hear what Gase has done.

I would take him as a QB coach, he failed as an OC.

Denver is picking their 4th coach in the last 6 years. Why should I care who they are or aren't interviewing? They obviously suck at picking coaches

    I don't like either.

I agree with your semi assumption for Gase to an extent. He did have Manning do the heavy lifting, but ultimately he created the offense. Same could be said for Kingsbury. That said, his offense was a huge turd in Chicago and Miami, so there is that.

    Im beginning to get concerned.
I'm of the opinion that once McCarthy declares himself out of the running for 2019, no matter who we pick, over 50% of the fans and most of the media will be completely unhappy and begin ridiculing the NYJ leadership. Seems to me the options in front of us are either unappealing to the newbie crowd, or too riskie to the conservative crowd, or completely wrong to most all for folks like Gase and Caldwell.
At this point we might be actually punting on fourth down, while we trail the coach competition by more than two scores and time is running out.
I'm affraid that the time to go with the safer route has passed us bye.....but what the hell do I know.

Not to support Gase, but there's some holes in this rhetorical question

    1. Boomer reported this morning that Broncos are going hard after Mike Munchak
    2. Elway's track record in picking coaches doesn't exactly speak for itself

Which is why J&J need to open up that bank vault and get McCarthy while he's still interested.
