I If they're going to go to a black helmet then something like these would be nice... obviously the logo will be different.
If they're looking to go to a grey helmet then I like this look... I like how the facemask & helmet are both the same color & appear seamless.
If the Jets are actually taking cues from the worst looking NCAA team of the last decade I am going to start rooting for the Saints.
This is too far for my tastes. It works for the Ducks but thats not the Jets or NY I go as far as black being added the equation w a vibrant green contrast..but no accents, wings or the like
While i don't think the oregon helmets are bad (I dont' think they're good either), the 2nd Jets helmet is so shite. Even with a different logo. Looks like total trash.
The "wings" are there because it's the ducks helmet... I believe the Jet logo would be much different... not saying they're going to look exactly like that just a template for the possibilities.
Is there a rule saying that Nike has to control the re-design? Why should anyone trust them after their record with NFL re-designs. Some of the worst pro-uniforms I've ever seen have been done by Nike. Just have the design be done internally and coordinate with Nike so they can implement it.
If the black alternate were paired with white pants and ended up looking something like this, it could work. But with a white helmet it would look terrible.
Is she kidding? She just figured this out? People on here were saying the same thing when we saw these in training camp back in August.
I would hope that whoever is doing the rebrand will have come up with a concept for the overall look and that Nike's job will be to turn those concepts into a working version. With the current unis they didn't change the basic concept from the Reebok ones, just a few little details. Nike won't be dictating having a black stripe here, a white one there etc. That will come from whatever design team the Jets, or other teams, have used. Any team that aren't doing it this way need to get some serious brand management advice - I'm available for a fairly reasonable fee! Nike will control the material the unis are made from and this does play a huge part in how they look. The material they are using seems a lot duller than the Reebok ones and it doesn't work at all well with the current shade of green imo, but has improved the Bears and Giants look as far as I'm concerned anyway. This may well have been a driver behind the anticipated move to a lighter green.
It reminds of that nasty 'sea foam green' that was all the rage with bridesmaids in the 80s. Yuck. What's next? Mauve?
I think Nike gives the team an option to allow Nike to fully design the uniform as they did with Seattle. Teams like GB, Pittsburgh, Dallas, etc told them to fuck off. I know, based on the Amazon docuseries, Jerry Jones’ daughter handles all of the uniform stuff for the Cowboys. Wonder who handles here.
