I've been beating the drum for a matte finish on the helmets since they new uni's were announced... I'd prefer a matte green over the black, though.
I could go with the sack exchange era uniforms. Very clean, simple and sharp. Not sure how they’d play out with the modern sleeveless look though.
1) the photo is of a previous uniform they wore as an example of the kelly green helmet he mentioned, the article it is featured with is inconsiquential. You stated the helmet "doesn't exist" but in reality its simply no longer used do to changes in NFL rules. I have added a photo below to again show you the uniforms you called "fantasy" did in fact exist and were used in game. 2) Something similar to the Boomer green is sounding more and more like what we are getting. With the right logo (not the one in the boomer photo) it COULD look really good. A) i never refered to it as kelly and b) was refering simply to the shade of green not the overall helmet design which i agree is ugly. I admitedly could have made this point more apparent.
You wrote it in the present tense. Simply because a picture exists does not indicate the color is true and certainly does not indicate the color is in use or ever was in use and you did nothing to support your argument. Your own link says it was a proposal that was abandoned. Oh, yeah. It is truly an ugly helmet.
i am not irish, but kelly green or any shade of green, looks best with GOLD, not black. check out army, nd, baylor, central fl, colorado state, etc....
we have me too colts unis, and me too eagles colors. given their won-loss record, maybe being like the packers isn't the worst thing. losing those stupid stripes from the unis and helmets would be a vast improvement by themselves! btw, they had two sb wins before we got ours.
