Well tbf if he did say that then he really shouldn't be but the thing is the internet is full of bullshitting cunts, so you have to err on the side of caution, even if they have a photo of him with them.
Hes on record saying hed love to be a jet for his whole career. I see nothing wrong w him saying he wouldnt mind playing in the ole stomping ground if things dont work out w the jets
You're right as far as his alleged comments concerning the Saints. Who knows what, if anything, he actually said? I don't see that as a big deal. More concerning to me are his documented recent statements saying the Jets should get Antonio Brown and that they should hire Kliff Kingsbury. Those topics are way beyond the pay grade of a second-year safety. Great talent and he plays with a high motor. I just wish that high motor didn't extend to his mouth.
In all my time on this board, this may be the most absurd Jets related topic. He’s two years into his contract. He’s not going anywhere. He wants to win. He’s jealous that Davis is on a team that went 13-3. By the time Adams is a free agent, the Saints will be a very different team.
The guy wants to win. He doesn’t see the neccesy steps being taken, he gets paid a lot of money. His voice should count.
Every single athlete is pretty much like this. He is a hungry, passionate kid. Bit too yappy but he's always ready to play, gives 100%, and wants to win. He's not used to what's going on in this locker room and has no tolerance/patience for it. Good Also, how the heck do we know this random message board guy is even telling the truth? No doubt if we don't ship up, he's going to want out, but I think we turn this ship around next season.
Geezuz fuck--he's a Jet for the next 3 years. At the very least. Remember everyone freaking out that Matt Harvey was going to get a $1 billion contract with the Yankees in 2019? He signed a 1 year deal with the fucking Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles.
At some point, he could have the chance to play where he "wants" assuming he was a Saints fan. Or just going for the $$. Younger posters may not remember, but we had Ronnie freakin Lott for a few good years; he wasn't great, but he wasn't on his last legs the way Atwater was. And then he went to the Raiders for a few more seasons. But he's always going to be remembered as a 49er. And JA is always going to be a Jet. We'll get his best years, and hopefully, he can be the leader it looks like he's going to be. Enjoy it. Don't worry about where he's going in 7 years or so.
Until he does something to change my mind I'm going to give the guy enough credit to make smart decisions about what he says and how he says it.
The dude just wants to win and doesn’t feel like we have the pieces (which we all agree - we are rebuilding but time to make some big moves) and also that some of the players here haven’t been giving 100% (which we also can agree with) I don’t mind him talking at all because it’s coming from the fact that he gives it all to win...he’s not selfish, he’s just a leader and outspoken Put it this way: if we’re still a losing team by the time his contract is up, Jamal Adams talking about it won’t move the needle for most of us I would imagine. If things become that bad I would want him to go win somewhere else, because I know he puts in the work to match his talent
