If true, that sucks. Really was hoping they would avoid the trap of putting a fighter jet logo on it. Also...black as an alternate...whatever...but as a key element in the main uniform...and the helmet black! Wow, really disappointing. Of course, this could also be super fake.
Doesn't look like they put a lot of work into the redesign if this picture is true. Dual stripes on helmet and shoulders? Looks like the color rush unis but instead of a kelly green background and white stripes, its a black background with green stripes. I wonder how this is gonna work when we play Miami in the early fall with temps in the 80's. You know damn well teams in warmer cities will put us in black and watch us wear down as the game progresses. Change for change's sake isn't always a good thing. .. Perhaps a bit more of an effort into the design was called for here but in typical Jets tradition, they managed to take a great idea and transform it into a FUBAR situation. I really hope this pic is wrong.. This thing smells like a money grab...

These uniforms and especially the new logo sound gross. Fighter jet? Ugh. We are going to look like an XFL team.
Apologies for being pedantic, but it always bothered me that SNY, the Jets, etc., failed to use a Grumman jet fighter as part of their graphics, marketing, etc., especially given their Long Island/Queens heritage. In particular, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat. One of the sexiest beasts ever built. I've seen some generic Jets materials which have used F-16s (built in Texas, now South Carolina), F-15s (built in St. Louis), etc. I always thought that they should have made that connection, to a time when we built Mach 2+ fighters and spaceships on Long Island, rather than fought every new business in the name of "it'll bring too much traffic."
They should use a cast picture of the Jets from the original West side Story as the helmet logo. Nothing says great in NYC like a Tony award winning musical.
Well, if they go with black uniforms, it'll just make it that much easier to distance myself from them when they screw things up with the coaching hire, FA, and draft. But, if they somehow pull rabbits out of their asses on these major items, and finally turn the team around, then I won't give a shit about what color unis they wear.
My dad’s friends coworker’s dog has a cousin that works as a janitor for Nike and he says that Reddit post is bullshit. The new uniforms will be yellow with magenta accents. The logo will be changed to a snail with a machete. Can we wait until they actually unveil the damn things before we start chastising the team for them? Reddit is full of garbage
This can't be real. Too much black. Get black the fuck out of here. Colors are green and white. Maybe have a black accent like 1990-1997. But that's it If this is what the actual update is, I simply will never buy another piece of Jets merchandise again that isn't throwback emailed the Jets as well warning them regarding trying to destroy the uniforms
