But what does anybody here actually know about Woody? It's not like there has been an open book here ever.

Gase sucks.... I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.... If he can't fix Miami, he certainly can't fix us

It was widely known that Campbell is not interested in the NFL at this point in his career. He's turned down other teams including the Patriots a couple season back.
This process isn't going to be finished in a day, and if it is, you can bet you have the wrong candidate.
Some of you guys are going to give yourself a stroke over nothing.
Relax, enjoy the holiday and save your energy for next year.

Ever watch the tv show "Dirty Jobs" ? Just because there's only 32 of them, that doesn't mean the elite will take any one of these jobs that come along. Sure, they can hire some newbie to come in and take whatever job is available, but anybody that has a choice most likely will choose another team over the dysfunction that is the New York Fucking Jets. I wonder if the Johnsons have enough money to convince an elite coach talent to come here.

Just the decision making in general. I mean we heard mostly good things for 2 years about Chris and everything said today just seems like it came out of the playbook 4 years ago. Maybe they are just similar. It’s nust been frustrating today.

I had a solid 12 hours of hope. From when Bowles was fired to basically now. god we are going to screw the pooch here fellas. Get McCarthy and be done with it. It's evident that we aren't a hot space to explore for coaches. FML

I see people throw out Josh McDaniels name yet Gase was OC of a record breaking offense in Denver with Peyton Manning as his QB.

He has a good reputation for designing offenses, coaching QBs.

Why did Tannenbaum-Gase stick with Tannehill as long as they did? They didn't draft him. Only they know that answer. IMO that decision doomed Gase and it could doom Tannenbaum.

Gase would be a good fit here but he won't be available long he's going to get snatched up quickly I think.

It already has doomed Tannenbaum as he's been demoted within the Dolphins so he's no longer GM

What's to be frustrated about? The process is never out in the open; we have no idea what's actually going on or has been going on for months. Some potential coaches can't be reached for weeks and some are busy with other things. We've waited four years this time, what's another month?

Geez, I hope it doesn't take a month. FYI - Bowles was hired January thirteenth.

I do not have much hope right now. CJ is absolutely saying the wrong things. You have to be a complete asshat to hire anyone that will not further develop Sam Darnold.

I get this feeling that CJ is listening to the wrong people right now. Per usual.

    Welcome to the Jets.

Wait! What did Johnson say about not developing Darnold?

News flash: If there's a HC job opening it's because there's dysfunction on some level.

ALL these teams with job openings have dysfunction that's why there's a job opening!

It's about finding the best guy & the right fit BUT they have to act fast!!!

If Harbaugh is hedging move on QUICKLY don't waste time.

Hire Gase he fits the criteria many fans want he's a offensive coach and he's experienced.

Well, that keeps mac firmly on the hot seat. He doesn’t get grace period with a new coach. I’d think that would make it more attractive to the more experienced coaches rather than the first timers

And up until now, how many good management hires have The Johnsons made? Chris has already said he's keeping his Org. structure in place so any "big name" coach ain't coming here no matter how much cash Chris flashes. Frankly, selling the Jets HC job is a lot harder because of the history of the franchise, the local media market and the org chart which does not work for the Jets.

I get the feeling you think the Jets are a preferred destination. Nothing could be further from the truth....Just look at all the big name HC's lining up for interviews with the Trust Fund CEO.

Get ready for another Newbie, another rebuild and 4 more years of OJT. Not to mention The Moron Bros still calling the shots..

    Lmao!!

Sometimes I hate this fanbase, but other times I love you all haha

Would you people let the fuckin process play out? I understand the freaking out because of how important this decision is for years and years to come, but it's been less than 24 hours since Bowles was fired. Pump the brakes a little lmao

I'm reading a article about Peyton Manning talking to the Cleveland owner about hiring Gase to be the new HC there.

    He won't be available long.

If the Jets don't have a new head coach by the end of the week we're screwed. We'll get another option Z candidate that no one else really wanted.

Gase Sucks! Why are we up in arms over a coach who's only success came when Peyton Manning called the plays not him?

We're getting a newbie or a bottom tier retread for a HC. Its just the way it is in Jet Land.

Tanny was also removed ad GM but Gase had complete control over player personal in Miami, Grier ran the draft but Gase had final say and Tanny was the #s guy.
