    Connor Hughes
✔@Connor_J_Hughes Maccagnan said Darnold won’t have a role in picking the new coach, but he’d like the new coach & Darnold to spend time together #Jets

Hopefully something romantic. OF COURSE they are going to spend time together.

He’s my top choice of the names we’ve been linked to for sure. I just look at the Buccs and see a massive letdown when you have talent like Evans, Howard, Desean and even the complementary guys like Humphries and Brate. The run game was abysmal too. That being said, that team was a mess from the top down so I can’t pin their underperformance on him at all.

You haven't been paying attention. Earlier today it was the top rated coaching vacancy.

I'd honestly take the return of Rex instead of Caldwell.

This is the last rodeo for me as well.. I can find other things to do on Fall Sundays and frankly, I can't put up with anymore idiocy from the Trust Fund Kid or his Dumb Fckn Brother running this franchise into the ground. Been doing this shit for over 50 years and man, I'm done. The Jets are about to find my last nerve..

What a shit show... CJ is a bigger fool then his brother if he intends to keep the power structure in place. As for Campbell Turing the job down who cares if he is well respected... as another posted stated so was TB and look what that got us.

get a VP of opts and let him run thing and get the F out of the way. As for the older retread HC from the Lions HELL NO. He was terrible.

Get some one McCarthy and overpay him if you have too at least he give us instant creditability with free agents.

Cman - feel your pain and can not believe these AH didn't have someone line up already. What a Fking joke.

High on Matt Campbell but I also worry about him in the NY market honestly.

This is already turning ugly though.

Evidently there's not enough cash in the kitty then. I'm not seeing people falling over themselves trying to get interviewed by the Jets. Perhaps I should be paying closer attention huh...

    Perhaps its "The Johnson Effect"...

But at least it isn't a too easy bathroom pun, so he's got that going for him.

Is Chris actually running things anyway? This whole day seems to scream Woody making the calls just using Chris as the mouthpiece.

The plum appears to be Darnold. Cleveland was number two because of Mayfield. We'll see if the recent announcement of no change in the hierarchy alters anything. Lots of coaches not available to interview yet and college coaches tend to fly under the radar because no formal permission to talk to them is required. The night is young.

    Jim Harbaugh or Adam Gase.

    It's been a day already I haven't seen anything about Jets-Harbaugh yet.

Gase is gonna get snatched up quickly!!!

They have to act fast to get the best guy!!!!

Absolutely nothing. Did you read it? I said it seems based on the decision making that it’s Woody. I feel that I was pretty clear.

Mike Evans had a career year, Desean was on pace to have one and Godwin is developing nicely. Oj Howard is also developing into a stud. Jameis Winston is the big thing here. Since the midseason benching, he’s had 13TD and only 4 int, showing real progress for the first time in his career. Keep in mind this is with a bad OL (PFFs 20th ranked line) and no running game. Now let’s see what Monken can donif we upgrade the line (we have no shot if we don’t), get Bell or Ingram and draft a WR to go along with Quincy, Robby and Herndon. I hope they hire him. It will be Caldwell though because they’re the fucking Jets.

I don't buy that. There's only 32 of these jobs in the world.
