Does this sound like Chris Johnson is actually picking the coach with help from Mac or is this essentially saying Mac will pick the coach? I can see them not even consulting much with Mac other than get his input. Unless it shows otherwise, I feel they will screw this up.

The Jets should personally apologize to the fans for that. For all the guff we gave Herman Edwards, they played for Herm! They didn't beat themselves. They didn't turn the ball over or commit penalties for Herm. Same with Rex at least with Rex there were some consistent positives. There were no positives under Bowles. Every part of this organization that Bowles touched went to chaos and hell. He had zero positive effects. Poor chemistry, players quitting, an epidemic of choking, unprepared for games, turnovers, penalties, not understanding situational football, not understand how clocks work, too dumb to make halftime adjustments, tardiness, hiring garbage staffs (Kacy Rodgers huh? Bates?) the one good coach we had last year John Morton he fires? Because he wants to run more. And run we did on 1st and 10...and run we did on 2nd and 14. And then it's 3rd and 16 and we punt. He set us back so so far. He has left a toxic culture of incompetence, of losing, of not being accountable. Luckily the Jets have the QB, Darnold has not been poisoned yet by Bowles. We have the $ to sign some impact players in the offseason, we are going big game hunting for a coach (still need to see it to believe it) and we have a top pick We can fix this quickly but we need a real solid culture change after what Turd Bowltite put us through the last 4 years
No one is saying that Todd Bowels was not a good man or a good guy , I probably would sit at a bar with him and we would both have a few good laughs BUT I WANT THIS GUY NO WHERE NEAR My football team as coach ! Now here is the bigger problem = coach ----> like many of you I had hopes for either Harbaugh but neither one of them is an option so long as Mac is still here,,,, they or he will NEVER come under these circumstances
Bowles is a nice guy. I genuinely believe that. He just is not Head Coaching material. He lacks the in-game ability to adjust. Sometimes his game plans were just not good enough. The Jets made the right move, maybe a couple years too late, but hopefully the timing is right to get a great Head Coach. Time will tell. We had the crazy emotional Rex, then the quiet with no emotion Bowles, now we need someone in the middle. Oh and he needs to win games too!
