Mayfield beasting it today with Njoku in Baltimore today..almost knocked off the Number 1 defense To think most Jet fans wrote him off as a Midget...laughable Now that's what a great GM, Dorsey, does ..grabs the Best and surrounds him with talent Mac got SD and practically put him on the sidelines ...180 degree difference between what's happened to Browns vs Jets in terms of management imo
There is no way you are actually watching Allens games. What's your hard on with him? Coz when you say hyperbolic shit like you've been it's a clear narrative you are trying to push and it doesn't match what's actually happening. Dude had another really good game.
I’ve actually watched the all 22 from his last few games. They’ve been posted on YouTube and some writers on Twitter have been posting snippets of their charting of him. Here’s a nice little preview: I’m sure it’s just me and my obsession though.
Josh Allen is a good athlete. To be honest, his receivers were not helping him this year. Lots of drop passes, which skews his completion percentage. I think there is a lot to look forward to with Baker, Allen, Jackson, and Darnold. Rosen, I'm actually not sure about at this point. But I think the cardinals are just a bad team in general. Of course, I want Darnold to be the best out of all of them.
I'd agree about Darnold with 2nd best season. Was shaky for awhile but strong last few games (today aside) was very positive.
Final rookie ranking: 1. Mayfield 2. Darnold 3. Jackson* 4. Allen 5. Rosen *Jackson is hard to rank because unlike the other rookies he's being asked to play a secondary role on a good team.
That was a fun watch. Hopefully for CLE they find competence off the field so there can be some stability on.
I find this kind of interesting bc Allen and Jackson have unintentionally had similar rookie seasons in a sense and the narrative is totally different.
Yeah they're similar to each other, but the Bills want Allen to make plays and the Ravens want Jackson to protect the ball. So I'm not sure what would happen if their roles were reversed.
Jackson is a better runner (you also design an offense around his running ability) and a more accurate passer. Similar in the sense that they run a lot but Lamar has been far better in mine and most people’s opinions.
Allen only averages 3 more passing attempts per game and there’s one or two whoppers in there that skew the number a bit. Ravens obviously are a lot smarter than the Bills so that will always favor Lamar but he’s also just been better.
Lol, i have no idea who this person is BUT Id bet my bottom dollar he wasnt a fan of the kid going into the draft. When people get scared they might be wrong, they tend to find a narrative that fits their position and pump it HARD bc deep down they know they might be wrong. We can sit here and find positive and negative takes on both our rookie qbs. in the end, Allen balled out this year and single handedly was the 2018 buffalo bills O. Im happy he is my teams qb and look forward to seeing the kid with some weapons . He is a down field thrower and they are lower % throws but he hits them often enough to move the chains and has hit them as consistent as the best of them. Be happy with your guy. Im happy with mine and thats a fun thing.
I was not high on Lamar coming out and thought he would need more time to be productive. The offense they have uilt around his skill set aftetr a mid season checge to him is one of the best coaching jobs Ive seen. We have not had an offensive mind like that around here in a long time.
Come on man.... now you are taking your biased opinion and acting like its fact Btw, notice i havent taken shots at sam. They are there to be taken, but i choose to look at positives and potential. You seem to take that liberty w him but have no issues w darnold. This whole argument has gotten really odd...
He does QB breakdowns every year. Charts every throw from every QB. I’m sure the literal stats have nothing to do with his predraft opinion.
Better how? Again, totally your opinion. You are entitled to it, but ya gotta admit its biased and kinda flawed..
well mayfield gets the early lead after season 1, by far. kudos to the browns as they finally have their guy. as far as the jets - I'm not yet convinced about darnold. yes there are signs but there are also flags. just not sure how much extent the lower talent pool on the jets plays into this. i think we'll have a real good sense the second half of next year.
