Tankathon...and whom to root for

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by Mario, Nov 12, 2018.

  1. Bart scott suggested Dee Ford.Thought that was a decent suggestion.Neither are perfect but are far & away upgrades over anything else on the roster. They both can consistently bend the edge.

I still wouldn't even look at Fowler. We have gotten better production out of nobodies with no one opposite them than Fowler has produced opposite much better players. He'd do nothing here and at a premium price

According to my calculations San Francisco will end up with a half a win less than the Jets in the strength of schedule count, which for these purposes should be called weakness of schedule. This is based on one of those ties that occurred early in the season. If Arizona wins, they go to third and the Niners move up to number one and the Jets to number two. Oakland will be fourth either way.

Cards just tied it up with under 2 mins to go on a 55 yard fg.

Ford is probably our best option (assuming Lawrence and Clowney stay with their current teams). He's got a good first step and pretty explosive on the edge.

ok, go back 10 years, you will be hard pressed to find a winning wr not paired with a h.o.f. qb.
I think enunwa, Anderson, get a tate ,cobb ,t Williams and add some potential to groom on the back end with bel, powell and Herndon and we have the weapons. the o line is crippling the offense right now

Now if you could just convince the players to lose their last 10 games in one year and 10 out of their last 11 games the year before (on purpose - when many of their jobs are on the line) then you'd have something. Of course, reality states otherwise.

At least we're improving, 3 Rd is better than 6th. :)

Agreed. A #1 receiver guarantees nothing; during the early Manning/Brady rivalry years, Manning had arguably the best receiver in the league at the time in Marvin Harrison, and probably the best receiving corps in the league overall with Harrison, Wayne, and Clark, and he STILL didn't have the success of Brady with his no-name receivers. Right now, the Jets' priorities should be edge rusher and offensive line.
